Well first time went to page 4...anyway it seems that the official 4.3 for s3 has arrived. Note2 official shouldn't be too far behind.
Glad to hear that Sammy is working on it.Samsung Galaxy Note II LYN's Official Thread V27, 4.3 is here, but no Note 3 features

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Nov 5 2013, 03:09 PM) I believe sooner or later...we will need to use the new bootloader which will restrict most flashing. And if we still using old bootloader..the phone most likely gonna goes haywire. The thing with software is that it never "degrades" unless all along the communication chain it gets rejected. I don't see why we can't remain at the current unlocked bootloader until even the telcos reject our radio signal from a non-upgraded phone.Well..nothing good last forever..just enjoy what we have and can right now. No point of thinking so far ahead of time..lolz |

Yes..if we remain static with the same old bootloader. What I mean is sortta like this....let say 4.4 come with all bells and whistle..plus all the goodies. The catch..you need new 4.4 bootloader to make everything works. Do we want to remain on 4.3 forever..? |

Follow up with my sister's case this morning. Something really strange happened. Please help me to evaluate.
1) My sister is using U Mobile. Home button no response and no network. 2) She put her SIM card into my Note II, everything works like normal. Network also fine. 3) I put my Celcom SIM card into her Note II, everything works fine. Home button is fine and network ok. 4) Switched back her SIM card into her phone, situation no. 1 appears again. 5) We repeated step 2 and 3, no issue. Went to Maxis, changed the SIM, everything's fine. It wasn't a cut SIM either. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Nov 5 2013, 05:16 PM) Now she cannot bring her SIM card to U Mobile to fix it because her SIM card can be used on other phones. Cannot bring to Samsung because other SIM cards can be used on her phone. Two ways also not workable for now. So, I'm helping her to flash to DN3 with the slightest hope it will fix her network and home button issue which I doubt so. This post has been edited by fruitie: Nov 5 2013, 05:24 PM |

Yet it magically only started to have problem after 2 years of using it (1 year on iPhone 4s and another year on Note II). |

Changing the screen mode to movie seems a lot better in DN3 rom. Cant stand the over saturated screen colour. Saves a bit of battery too.

DN3 fixes the mystery.
I actually wiped off everything and reflashed to DN3, her home button works and network is appearing again. But once flashed to DN3, network cannot be found even on my Celcom SIM card. So, flashed to DMG1 modem. Voila! This post has been edited by fruitie: Nov 5 2013, 06:36 PM |
