I wonder why Samsung need quad core,octa core,or whatever cores is it to make the phone smooth,iPhone only need dual core 1.2ghz,yet its so smooth that it can support daily usage

Because Android OS does not give priority to touch. So with more cores, Samsung hope that at least 1 core will serve the touch interrupt. Thus it will not lag if got more cores.

Go try galaxy nexus and galaxy s2,you'll notice the difference right away

Samsung a lot features, Nexus series features actually quite standard, thus they no need extra power to hold it.

Woah!I never start any flaming here,I'm just asking that why samsung needs so many cores,and of course I DO own a samsung devices,currently using the galaxy grand also with light apps download,because nexus 4 is mainly my phone I use,I would say that the phone has much better software optimization than the S4 and all that,and less bug than I thought,it can match my nexus 4 in terms of speed,due to little apps install inside,mostly only musics and apps like facebook

seems like there are people still playing the win galaxy gear things... lol even though still counting down for next 20s
