i had this problem yesterday night and it happened when i was using wireless connection. But after i switch to wired connection, manage to download the damn patch within 10minutes....

lol... every racing game on earth is like that. Nothing beats the real thing. You cant feel the G-forces when you're accelerating and braking, body rolls etc etc

The game will try to simulate real life by using visual and sound que as well as force feedback.

are you playing with a wheel or a controller?

I've been in a car going 200km/h and it does feel fast! Burnout Paradise fast. But maybe time starts slowing down when you hit 220km/h.

@evo - playing with a controller. Would like to buy a wheel but too expensive la.

both are racing game but they are different in every aspect. why ppl wanna compare PS3 and Xbox360 since they both are same in genre? you tell me...

Tried that also, but apparently the patch is not single, but multiple files. So, hard to download through proxy.

i suggest you invest in a wheel if you like racing games my 4 year-old DFP still going strong

anyway, i think the penalty system still needs more tweak. i've experience that if if you bump opponents car side by side you wont get any penalty at all....those baskets always did that when taking corner. They take the inward lane so he can do wallslide on your car n bump ur car out.....

or is that norm in racing? (i'm just a normal driver so didnt know the racing rules much)

Common practice in Touring cars championship but not in open wheel racing (F1, Champcar, F2). But if done recklessly, still got penalty from race stewards.
