tried few races online...ya random pick up races...so far didnt see any option to host a private server.

by the way, for me the line is ok....no lagging or jumping cars.....very nice!!

lucky me got the year end holiday.. play kao kao at home with the hp w2408h monitor now.... !

I have tried a few hours on GT5P and personally it's a very bare online component...only listed race are available ( more to be added in the future ) - no custom race, it's like matchmaking without the ability to invite your friends. However, a true 16 player online at that level of visual is amazing!

As for the lag - i haven't experience anything drastic except for the waiting before the race.

One thing for sure, this is the first GT to have an online race so I think Polyphony is testing it out - in a form of a "paid beta"...hahahaha. So if you can let go some of these weaknesses then i highly recommend the game.

juz bought my ps3..but GH dont have GT5P... maybe i wait for full version ler

glad to hear good online experience

for me both games are supberb. FM2 is a real simulation where you really need to brake n accelerate properly and so to GT5. but for me i think GT5 is much more easier to adapt since it let u choose the simulation difficulty. for me, FM2 has the most realistic physics in game so far in racing genre. and i believe GT5 will do the same.

as for Multiplayer features, i voted for FM2, leaderboards,matchmaking, online tourney, car trading, download car ghost, custom race, upload pictures and etc. And i hope GT5 will obtain all this features in the full game.

if compare wif graphics, ofcourse GT5 winning mile away but bear in mind, FM2 is in DVD9 format so they have space constraint.

coz both games are real racing simulation game.

errr.. rFactor and LFS wanna have a say in that... and probably GTL and NetKar Pro too.

Something I noticed is that GT5's speed is a bit slow compared with actual real life driving. Next time you play, compare the feeling of speed in the game vs real life. Try hitting 120 - 150 kmh in your car, then compare with GT5.

Because there is no REAL wind in GT.....
BTW, if you drive a supercar (e.g a Ferrari), you won't feel fast if you drive it over 220km/h (thats what i heard la )

I still can't download the damn patch. WTH?
