3rd is about the cable management.they also do that but muz pay
RM 50...

4th my casings air system is good.No need to change anything..

5th sum mother board software wont show exact temp..He recomended me to use real termometer to check the temp..

Final Answer My PC dun have any problem with the temperature...Hehehehe..Now oni happy... rclxms.gif rclxms.gif He said my Idle speed is ok..Its abit hot couse my P4 is 1MB caching..He said dun worry its ok.. biggrin.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Guess what, my Pentium 4 530 3GHz, on 1MB L2 Cache, LGA775, is only 38celcius by using the older Thermalright XP120 with the Vantec Spectrum UV led fan [120MM] rclxms.gif

The thing is, your motherboard, it's abit, it's normal because abit motherboard always report the temperature of the processor higher than any other board...

That's all... wink.gif

So i think there's no problem...

Anyway, have u rewired the cables inside your case? blink.gif

hey guys.... gimme some ideas on what to do with this heatsink from my colorful 9550 which i fried. its a heatpipe heatsink.. take note of the mountings as well..using screws

heres a pic of the front (GPU core) (the fan is DEAD by the way)
user posted image

as u can see theres a heatpip which goes back to the card to this heatsink

user posted image

was thinking of using it to replace my NB heatsink but worries about mounting and clearance issues since i already have a 6800 with a zalman cooler on it....

heres a pic of the of the entire rig including the NB and GC cooler...notice how the GC cooler overlaps the NB heatsink
user posted image

any ideas on what i can use the heatsink for??? the thing has been lying around for over half a year doing nothing... so wanna find a use for it

Is there any recommendation to blow into the CPU heatzink fan? I am using TT101 heatzink but with the Delta 12cm casing fan on it.The max roration for the fan is just around 1500rpm that is pretty low for me.Can someone suggest me a 12cm fan which can rotate at 2500-3000 rpm?

Nidec Beta 5 is good... rclxms.gif

Above 2500RPm offcourse... wink.gif

The lowest CFM for that fan is 130CFm...

But beware about it's noise... bruce.gif

It's 47DB... sweat.gif

Really ah?47dB is quite noisy i think.
What is 130CFm ?I don't understand.Noob here. If a 2000rpm 12cm fan do you think is enough for the cpu cooling? wink.gif

Mind to state the heatsink u're using? blink.gif

It also depends on the heatsink itself... icon_rolleyes.gif

I am using the TT 101 heatpipe. This afternoon i was still stick on my AI7 mobo on,the CPU max reading is about 63 degree celcius. Then the PWM area goes high until 70degree celcius. sweat.gif

Then just now i changed to IC7-G mobo, the PWM area is about 40+ degree celcius on load.CPU can goes up to 67 degree celcius.Really scary...I have re-applied the thermal paste on it one. wink.gif

That's normal for abit board to report high temperature reading than any other boards... icon_rolleyes.gif

It's done because abit wants their customer to really take care of their pc... laugh.gif

That's quite high u know...

Anyway...
Can give a picture of the heatsink u're using now? flex.gif

Don't know the real performance of that heatsink... sweat.gif

Or, why don't u change into a better heatsink? thumbup.gif

Hurm...
By the look of the heatsink, it doesn't seem so promising... sweat.gif

It's too copperie... tongue.gif

Plus, it's too small la raymond... laugh.gif

If you ask me, that heatsink doesn't work so well by the looks of it...

My advise is to change into a bigger surface heatsink... rclxms.gif

To my own opinion, XP120 should be good for your damn hot processor... laugh.gif

**I didn't trust copper... tongue.gif

The problem is, there is no more bulk sales for XP120 heatsinks... laugh.gif

And to add, yes, copper is good, but your heatsink, it's "Themaltake... sweat.gif "

Just like madman says up there... laugh.gif

not just that la...i dont really wanna mod it as i wanna fully utilize the heatpipe.. and also the HUGE heatsink on the back of the card...

right now the only idea i have is to put it on top of muh HDD so that it can cool that down....but im gonna be adding another HDD on the top bay so dunno can fit or not

EDIT: copper is good but requires a high CFM fan to really shine... just like the XP90C.

i suggest getting a more powerful fan first. as its cheaper than immediately upgrading the heatisnk... if it doesnt work... then upgrade heatsink ad use the new fan with it thumbup.gif
