that's becoz my setup of the case it a bit tight now days .. it does not pull out hot air straightly rather it goes through the top exhaust that covered with mesh grill
the holes are too small for nice ventilation ... so i guess there is bounce back of heat blow out by the Ultra-120 ... so temperature increases by few degrees is usual ... |

isnt it become dangerous as the cooler become more and more heavy ..
wouldn't it bent the mobo... i already notice that Ultra-120 is to heavy and even the bolt through kit unable to hold it firmly ... it tend to to bent a bi down ... |

QUOTE(akachester @ Apr 27 2007, 02:34 PM) Seems llike that's the only solution for the Zalman fan replacement .. besides it's even better as u could choose the right 92mm fan wanted.. QUOTE(AceCombat @ Apr 27 2007, 04:38 PM) Zalman fan is weak in fan quality,i saw many times before, that the LED is faulty or the fan is faulty....not tahan lasak. hmm .. lucky i didn't buy it last time coz my friend was so into it but in the end also he bough the HR-01 same as me ... I never like heatsink that comes with pre built fan, it restrict the user from using their own preferrable fan type.. besides it's quite expensive as well ... |

Are u sure it's safe to OC to that extend for this processor ???
On the safe side reduce the clock ... and get a cooler such as Artic Cooling 7 Pro .... or Thermalright Ultra-120 for better performance... but the issue won't resolved coz u OC too much ,,, |

In theoretical speaking 8 vs 6 heat pipes .. TR should win
but the base plate of both coolers are different ... one is nickel plated while Nortua isn't .. this mean Nortua could win in term of heat transfer from CPU to the base while TR loose on that. however the remaining is which heat pipes technology is more efficient in transferring heat from base plate to the fins .. Until there's a direct comparison review from internet or personal review from forumer.. it remains debatable but the reality is both cooler works well and should have no problem to handle daily stress .. the difference wouldn't be noticeable much if extreme OC isn't applied. I got my Freezer 7 Pro from C-Zone at RM110 only ...
Work like charm here .. I'm more happier than using TR HR-01 right now .. Smaller size that doesn't sacrifice the performance yet silent .. It's cheap compare to stock cooler that doesn't does the job too well ... |

Any idea where can we get that XP-120 ???
I like this cooler as it could fit into micro atx case for enhanced cooling as compared to the stock cooler ... but so far yet to one selling over anywhere... |

QUOTE(Proclaimer @ Jul 29 2007, 04:36 AM) Juz recieve my TTBTVX + AC MX-1 from moderno yesterday through COD.. It's not bad since u aren't running under aircond room right ? Using P4 630 3.0 Idle = 36 c Load = 44 c Is it good or average reading...? Though my casing is kinda hot... I have used this P4 630 before and my lowest temperature reaches 22c only .. with Thermalright SI-120 Which is ridiculous reading from Gigabyte mobo sensor ... But I think ur temperature could go further down ... but can't tell much coz I never used TTBTVX before ... |

Yah . that's for sure under condition the user doesn't mind of higher noise generated .... based on the stock fan ..
if changed with own quiet fan then it would be different point of view ... which also added additional cost ... since any good case fan cost about RM50+ ... |

TR HR-01 would performs worst that Golden Orb ??
Can't believed it ... I never tried Golden Orb however I could said that HR-01 isn't just meant for passive only .. if u got the latest version which released on end of last year .. the cooler comes with fan clips as well .. so attach it to the cooler with nice quiet fan such as Nortua .. U could get decent performance with quiet condition ... |

It's not too quiet based on review.... so u would have to get a quiet fan to replace it ..... that would add additional cost ....

It would definitely beats AC Freezer regardless which setting ...
however with noise issue .. AC fan would runs quieter than Xigmatek stock fan ... so if a quieter fan used on Xigmatek it add additional cost where any silent fan cost about RM60 ... In the end AC is still way cheaper that performs at certain level right out of box ... while Xigmatek cost RM150 itself already and after added with a silent fan .... it's just at different level... |

From the figures it shows that even at lowest speed ..xigmatek still nosier than Artic Cooling ...
so eventually AC is quieter and also won't perform as good as Xigmatek due to different design ... |
