UI as 510 n yet to see any significant changes or improvements. Some users at Xda said colors look better? but doesn't seem so to me. The fake hang is only bug I noticed but easily solved by ticking optimised backlight.

anyone can help with changing to CDA steps? -to update .526 firmware

oh ok.. seems that we get updates almost every week.. good to know at least Sony side is always working for our device..

Your phone must be rooted
Use Root Explorer and locate the build.prop file at /system. Select RO by pressing the RW button at top
Hold down this file and open it with text editor
CHange the values ( I have bold it ) to the new values ( 1276-0361 and R5A) I have given
Save and exit the changes and restart phone

Find these in the build.prop file

Big HUGE issue at firmware .510 where give your phone fake hang + continuer dead afer locked the screen. It can be prevent but troublesome. Solution here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45121416

Also another issue is swipe at Small keyboard layout at Chinese Keyboard for English input is not working.

BUT!!! SONY just release new firmware today earlier morning - 14.1.B.1.526 ... AND ALL issue at .510 still there!

What SONY do? SONY release New Sony Xperia Z Ultra firmware for FUN ?????

Some people never know how to generate the issue. As long you not un-tick that Optimize Backlight, such issue won't appear.

But silly SONY did that stupid feature to downgrade screen quality only.

* I know one of the user here comment before never even had SOD in .510 and do video, but his ROM had modified certain, so that is exclude.

ahh...anyways, my lucky unit no get SOD after .526 update too...and seems like thrs also quite a number of peep no face the issue...could it be hardware issue instead of firmware? particularly the screen?

Seems like the new update isn't the bug fix. Been using it for 7 days and last night I "finally" had my first SOD. lol.

If not remember wrong, you the one not facing such issue even at .510 right? And you did something in your phone where it is encrypted and need twice reboot. Probably that twice reboot solved it.

Note 3 not yet available, how to jump ship? LOL.. means that now already sold XZU and not using HP until Note 3 come? anyway, why i care… lol.. and u?

it downgrade screen quality is it? i didn't notice that, and i just left it ticked.. and it says to save battery, i like.. and i don't have any issue that bother me on .510.
