QUOTE(daydreaming @ Sep 4 2013, 04:17 PM) i just think ozil is not worth 42 mill pound. maybe 35-40. but not more than that. he's still unproven in the premier league. and MU hardly spend so much on someone who has yet to prove himself in the league (minus veron) It's a fair price considering he's a better player than Bale who went for more than double that amount and he has already proven himself in the CL and with Germany as well. United have to accept that player prices are now inflated thanks to all the sugar daddy clubs. The alternative is to look for hidden gems like what Arsenal were doing but even they have realised that they have to spend big now. |

transfer story over now start to create new one
QUOTE Robin van Persie and David Moyes hit skids DAVID MOYES is facing a battle to win over Manchester United star Robin van Persie. Starsport can reveal the United striker has yet to be convinced by new Old Trafford boss Moyes, who replaced Sir Alex Ferguson in the summer. The Dutchman has told pals he is missing Fergie, who was key in persuading him to quit Arsenal for Old Trafford a year ago in a £25m deal. It is understood Van Persie also has misgivings about some of Moyes' training methods. Former Everton boss Moyes now has his work cut out to convince Van Persie he is the right man for the United hotseat. Despite starting the season brightly, with two goals in the champions' first two games, the 30-year-old appeared out of sorts in the goalless draw with Chelsea and 1-0 defeat at Liverpool. Van Persie cut a frustrated figure at Anfield on Sunday and looked close to losing his cool several times. A friend of Van Persie - who has been the Premier League's top scorer for the last two seasons - said: "Robin isn't happy and when that's the case he can't hide it on the pitch. "When he's frustrated he is capable of doing something silly, and you could see that against Liverpool. "He feels it isn't the same with the new manager as he misses working with Fergie, who he really loved playing under. Some of Moyes' training methods are not to his liking either." http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/...Moyes-hit-skids |

TBH, most of the players lost their cool during the Liverpool matchA friend of Van Persie - who has been the Premier League's top scorer for the last two seasons - said: "Robin isn't happy and when that's the case he can't hide it on the pitch. CODE Fellaini paid way to United: Marouane Fellaini took a £4million hit to complete his dream move to Manchester United from Everton on transfer deadline day. As deadline day ticked towards its conclusion there was no sign of an end to the impasse that had United sticking to a maximum £23.5million transfer fee in line with the escape clause in Fellaini's contract that lapsed at the end of July. And with Everton chairman Bill Kenwright holding firm on his demand for £27.5million, the Belgian took matters into his own hands. Fellaini offered to waive a £4million loyalty bonus, which meant United did not have to pay any additional transfer fee and Everton got the overall amount they were demanding. The move underlines how badly Fellaini wanted to make the switch to Old Trafford, which also included being driven to Everton's Finch Farm training complex on Monday evening to hand in a formal transfer request. It should at least leave United fans in no doubt where Fellaini's heart lays, even if it was largely a transfer window of frustration for Red Devils supporters. Oyster Sauce Another article to support the previous post. He might NOT be the marquee signing that most fans wanted, but if anything, I would rather have a player that really wanted to play for United than anybody else. United bid Herrera for 30 mil Euro. he's far more unproven than Ozil. at least Ozil proven in bigger stage (CL /International). IMO Ozil simply the best no10 in the world, if u discount Messi.and dont forget we bid Hazard and Lucas, both around 30mil GBP each. dont tell these arent United hardly spend 'so much'.. we were willing, but they snubbed us/the transfer not materialize. his 42mil GBP are about right. real not desperate to sell, Arsenal desperate for star signing. i love Ozil here. but it'll create a new problem to rooney and Kagawa. yup, its for his potential, every transfer will carry risks, even those so called "premier league proven" purchases, but oh well, our squad is still decent enough, i am hoping we will at least challenge for the title this year, get at least top 3, qualified for UCL knockout stage, and have a decent run in both domestic cups, that's all, anything better will be an icing on the cake for me

QUOTE Everton have denied reports waived bonuses accounted for £4m of Marouane Fellaini's transfer fee to Manchester United. As the dust settled on United's last-minute move for the Belgium midfielder, several newspapers claimed it took Fellaini's intervention to get the deal over the line. The reports suggested his transfer request saved Everton £4m in bonuses, allowing them to accept an offer of £23.5m from United in line with an expired buy-out clause in Fellaini's contract. But Everton's director of communications Alan Myers has shot down those suggestions, insisting the £27.5m for Fellaini is coming solely from the old Trafford vaults. Myers wrote on his Twitter page: "For those asking: No Felli did NOT pay £4m of the transfer fee! The buying club will pay £27.5m." The fee for Fellaini is understood to be £26.5m up front with a further £1m in add-ons, some of which Everton forked out on deadline-day to sign James McCarthy and bring in Gareth Barry and Romelu Lukaku on loan. Lukaku rejected other offers to join Everton, where he will link up with fellow Belgium international Kevin Mirallas. "I've known Kevin Mirallas since I was 14, and that should help," Lukaku told the club website. "We talked about the move and I am looking forward to playing. "Roberto Martinez called me for 30 minutes and explained me what he expects from me. I decided that Everton was the best choice. They are a more prominent club than West Brom where I had a good time." http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11...ne-fellaini-fee |

He is regular in the world cup.. he is basically world class..why real madrid decided to buy him is already a good reason he is good enough for the league.. Ozil was offered to united .. If united is smart enough.. We could negotiate a reduced price.. Reports says he prefered a move to united. Letting go a player with his quality is just plain dumb.. Atm we really need a player that actually can pass front and gives those killer passes to rooney and van persie..ozil is a specialist in that.. We cannot say like oh he is an attacking midfielder we dont need him.. Ozil can play anywhere in the midfield if you watched him play in real. Plus we rely too much on rooney and van persie.. Ozil will reduced that burden.. Cleveley welbz young cant provide that assurance.. We lost a great chance to sign one of the world's best killer passer.. Now we are stucked with cleverley.. Flip table nao!!!! |

no, the valuation of players had to change, 40m i think is the new 35m for today's market, and if Fellaini is worth almost 30 million, why Ozil isn't worth 40 million?
not to disregard Fellaini's ability though, just saying |
