That Carrera used what movement? Hand wound or auto?
Manual wind with Lemania 1873.
Same movement as the legendary moonwatch.

That shop asking 9k, what is the reasonable price you think?

Responded to you before also.
9k is too expensive. Saw one at 5k before.

the history of fliegers are somewhat.. hmm.. up in the air? as IWC is not the only manufacturer right..

correct me if i am wrong but its a military spec that was manufactured by a few companies?
*
IWC is one of the five manufactures for WWII fliegers, others were Stowa, Laco, Wempe, Lange.
Of course their famous Mark X/XI were used by Royal Air Force.

why no date? hmm.gif

Nothing special, I like classic iconic watches, and mostly of it are no date, i.e. SpeedyPro, Sub, LLD, Santos, Reverso etc.

Panerais?

Last on my list.
They are many nice watches in that price point are more worth it than Panerai, just my humble view.

14060 thumbup.gif
But hardcore watch guy like you should get a 5512 or 5513 seriously.. new sub is too blink / jewellery.

Finally I understand why sub owners will go vintage after they have their new watch from a while..
*
I wish I could get a 5512/5513 but the parts support are limited.
And they are many franken out there for vintage Rolexes.
So I chose a 14060 tdial which I think is not too bad either biggrin.gif

that MUT memang interesting... can visit that shop some time...

went to Hour Glass Gardens yesterday... the sales lady doh.gif a bit stuck up, as if i go there "wan kat" only cry.gif

baseline PAMs like 005/380 very difficult to get in Malaysia...

Airking around RM15k...

Omega AT8250 ladies around 13k after discount...
*
Bring few stack of RM100 notes, they will see you differently laugh.gif
For PAM, go to grey dealers like Time Pacific in BSC, more selection and cheaper.

Yours different. Pre-moon (still considered "pre" if its same year as the lunar landing?) is collectible level.
*
Ya, still consider pre-moon or transitional model (caliber 321 dial and caseback but tick with caliber 861).

Wah,Then may i know how much worth to buy for the first generation speedy reduced? Because its kinda old which makes me worried about it.
*
My opinion, nothing more than 4k. Ask for the service history.
Do take note that the movement is a bit tricky to service.

Better deal here,

Surprisingly no mention on Perrelet, inventor of automatic self winding mechanism in 1777.
