after 900k is used to pay petrol then the next people will get 0% cash back

900k x 5% = 45k cash rebate
*
Your calculation I think wrong. The 900,000 is rebate payout as per T&C. Meaning 900,000 should be 5%. In total should RM18,000,000. No??

rm68 for classic, rm168 for platinum.

Confirm 2nd year users onwards, only need to make phone calls to waive. Called 3 persons of the cs to confirm. No need 60 swipes per year.

UOB has this good flexi payment plan with charges 2%-4% out of total purchase, with minimum of RM500 purchase in a single receipt.

can't believe citibank don't have such a thing. sleep.gif
*
Why want 2% - 4% when you can get 0%?? Any catch?? mind explaining?

for the 0% for payment instalation, only some merchants who tie up with the bank will offer this. in this case, you can buy from any merchant e.g. airasia tickets and if you want to pay in instalments, you just need to pay the upfront %.

i like the uob vox card because they offer 1% for 6 months, lowest in market.  brows.gif
*
Then I better transact with those who tie up with the bank. 1% is also alot.

UOB one card, how to check the balance for smart merchant $? Like rebates 5% on BHP petrol.
*
For smart merchant, it's printed on the receipt upon payment. Meaning they giv u receipt, will print out.

HOWEVER, for BHP, it's special case. The cs could not answer me yet. This is what I encountered.

1) If you pump and use your card at the pump terminal, IT WILL NOT show on your printed receipt. This is because the BHP Petrol has not collected money from UOB yet. As such, we must keep our receipts all as proof of pump. I called the cs and they said we must wait 2 weeks at least till the merchant confirm with the bank. As such, rmb record your receipts.

2) As per BHP staff, if you want it to reflect IMMEDIATELY, go to the counter in the office and swipe your card there before you pump, tell them you want smartcash rebate. This way, it will reflect immediately.

but usually they will start with the 5% higher price which is for 0% installment.
if you don't bargain, then that's it = you may pay with 0% installment or cc payment or cash.

but if you bargain with them, they will lower down for you but mention that you cannot use 0% installment.
and if you still bargain with them, then they will go lowest to cash price and mention that you cannot use cc for payment.

so basically you won't know (and think that it's 0% installment) if you don't actually bargain or negotiate the price with them in the first place.
*
Very true. I asked Senheng about UOB interest free instalments. They mark up their smartphone prices by RM85, stating admin fee. I'd rather buy my smartphones from somewher else or pay the 1% interest, still less than 85.

yes, some workers/staffs of certain shops were not aware about the smart$. however, you will earn the smart$ automatically when they swipe your uob cc in their uob terminal, unless they have another cc terminal and they swipe wrongly to it. if this were the case, calling uob cs will not be able to manually rebate it too.
*
That's why I printed out the Smart$ merchant list and memorise all from Penang. biggrin.gif This way, impossible to go wrong. Sometimes, we also may not notice they are the merchant. So I memorise all, then only know which is which. brows.gif

means the 900k is not for 5% smart cash for bhp but for all petrol stations?  vmad.gif  woah muz check this month statement.  cry.gif
*
Dude there is a difference between CASHBANK and SMART$CASH.

Cashback is capped at 900, 45k rebate total per month, not limited to any petrol stations. Meaning you can pump at Shell, Petron, Petronas, Caltex, Mobil, blablabla and still get 5%. However cashback has its limit.

Smart$cash is ONLY available if you pump at BHP. This is due to BHP is a partner merchant of UOB. As such, Smart$cash only applies at UOB. There is no limit to thise 5%.

Meaning the total rebate is 10% if you pump at BHP with UOB card.

5% cash back (any petrol station) + 5% smart cash (BHP only).

The 900k quota which is equivalent to RM45k cash rebate is not limited to any petrol station and there is no 5% smart $ limit. So I would advise you guys to pump petrol best before 20th-22nd of every month to receive the cash back.
*
Wrong. My statement came already. Dated 16th March. 5% cashback from UOB (NOT smart$cash from BHP) ended already. They rebated a portion of my pump on 15th of March.

You guys will ask why they can rebate so fast. Coz I walk into the counter and swipe the card there, not at pump terminal. As such, the amount is charged immediately.

i always redeem the smart$ from bhp. why?
*
LOL NEVER REDEEM 5% smart$cash at BHP Petrol Station. If you do your maths, when you redeem, you lower your transaction price. As BHP now offer 5% till end of April, your 5% Smart$cash is given based on the amount after redemption. As such, your current transaction gives less rebate. (Only rebate it after the 5% period ends at end of April ^^.

your case may not affect me. every month i will surely max out the 5% petrol cb (rm500 transaction) in the month. so any additional i will use the smart$ to redeem for the petrol.

but now i am transferring more petrol transaction to hlb wise already. bcs i found uob is cheating with its 5% cb allocation.
*
LOL maybe u long journey driving so ok lo. And if your car big, one time pump 100 then ok lo. Me drive viva, RM60 full tank. One month most RM100. HLB wise is kinda lousy for me. Minimum spending RM50. It's worth if you're one of those doing business, or go for night life one time pay RM500. Me go eat only spend RM30. No cash back. LOl

UOB how cheat 5%?? Mind informing us?

if go eat at old town rm30 can use cc already. LOL.

i mean last time when i use uob cc, it's rm30 (rm600) max then became rm25 (rm500) suddenly without prior information. i missed rm5 (rm100) at 0% cb that time. then now they further bring in this rm900k allocation thingy. they can simply claim that my transaction were done after the allocation was finished for the month. i keep losing cb using this cc. they can't confirm us that we will surely get the 5% nowadays, unlike hlb wise.
*
HLB wise only allows cashback for MINIMUM RM50 per transaction. Oldtown RM30 can use HLB wise but won't give you any cash back.

Yup UOB allocation a bit scam. Maybe for you using alot, then they can cheat. For me who uses little, I'd rather use UOB card since I can't afford everytime RM50 per transaction.

HLB wise only good for those can afford RM50 per transaction. UOB for people like me spend little got cashback. And then RM30 at Oldtown, at least UOB give 0.3%. HLB wise totally give 0 cashbak

yes, i mean you use your uob at old town to get that 0.3%. although it's just 0.3% but still better than nothing!  laugh.gif
*
Haha ya. HLB wise not good. First, must spend RM50 and above to be eligible. Secondly, must have at least 10 transactions a month and each transaction RM50 and above. It's kinda lousy since you must spend RM500 a month to be eligible to get RM50 cashback (10% of RM500). You spend 9 transactions and you get nothing. Lousy card really.

Huh? So can I say you are the last person to redeem the RM45k? brows.gif

I pumped on 22nd last month and still entitled 5% cash rebate. Nothing wrong, its just that this month's rebate ended quicker.
*
Yes I am the last. I calculated, A portion of my Rm26 got it. Rm14 got it. Haha. Nevermind ba. At least good cashback. I got a total of RM4.46 and RM5.06 as smart cash. Kinda okay. Almost RM10 cash back, which means 4.53 litres of petrol discounts. tongue.gif

Avoid this card if you cannot meet the minimum requirement or do not know how to split the bill. Or you can do it like I do, help friends and relatives to pump petrol then rebate for them. Or worse, go to petrol station everyday and help those who want to pay by cash to pump then rebate 2% for them. You still get 8% back. Win-win situation. thumbup.gif
Just don't go to the same petrol station otherwise you might get halau/blacklisted. LOL.

How sure you are is from this month transaction? As your statement date is 18 Mac, there's possibility it is from petrol transaction that you did end of last month.

Unless you didn't pump any from 19th Feb till 28th Feb.
*
To answer your curiosity.

1) Our monthly statement shows date of transaction.

2) I'm a new card user...haha I got my card on 26th of february. my first pump is exactly the date of transaction on the statement.

Answer you now?? hehe biggrin.gif
