QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Nov 5 2013, 09:42 PM)
If I want to top up in multiple of RM200, I will go for RM200/RM400/RM600 n so on.....
Lets say I want RM200 n systems automatically match lower amount (eg RM150), this will go against my wish
*
Once in CIMB bank I wanna buy rm2000 AS1M & The ASNB system matched the amount, the staff also took the money from me. After updating the deposit slip, she told me the deposit slip printed only rm100. I was shock, how can it happen rclxub.gif The staff apologized to me & return balance money. I didn't ask & just walked away because I was rushing for other matters.

Yo case was not automatic matching of lower amt
The staff key-in RM100 for u
*
no-no, the staff tried once only (key-in the amount I wanted) & it's was successful. read my post, she took ALL the money, counted it & even kept in the drawer. when print the deposit slip only rm100 printed on it. that's why she return the balance money & apologized to me.

u should practice to wait the voucher printed before hand over the money to her.
*
I don't think the staff would allow it. Normally when successful, the staff ask the money first then only printed the deposit slip & update the passbook (they worried I runway with the passbook without paying tongue.gif )

i think it only happens if the bank teller  knows you well.  and willing to do the 'extra' to help you buy.
They had done that for me before , passed the cash to her, tell her to try buy whenever she is free, but not anymore.

Usually they wont take that risk. in case payment does not come in time, her balance will be left hanging, and cant close for the day.
It's more and more strict now, hard to do the back door way now.

Adding RM100 each time is just too tiring for me, drive to the bank, car park ticket, wait, wait and wait. Ha.
Very lucky guy! That will be equal to going to the bank 25000/100 = 250 times (assuming RM100 strike each time)!

Hope for better strike rate and larger amount for me.

Cheerio.
*
Some say timing is very important, got one guy always managed to get some units. I think he got posted some of his successful attempt here. juz read previous post nod.gif

Just hope for the best icon_rolleyes.gif

What if we take/withdraw the money the last minute they'll announce it?
*
ASNB normally announce dividend 15days before "closing date" & suspend transaction 1 week before "closing date" for dividend calculation. I think they take the lowest balance before suspension to calculate dividend.
