sorry to ask again..
what's pro-rated dividend ?
*
example if dividend rate is 8% for 12mth so 1mth is around 0.6667%

if u put only 2mth then its 1.3334% (0.6667 x 2mth)

I wonder if it's possible for us to get our bumi friends to buy using their quota and then sell it back to us over the counter. Do you think that will bypass any quota restriction? tongue.gif

last i checked still available

easiest way to check is try to top up via online banking. if the option is there, then it means the fund is still available

then must be ASNB system error & newbie counter staff sweat.gif

or u look like a non bumi that she didn't even bother to try to do the transaction. it happens bro. i have to show the books and tell them directly the bumi quota is still, and always available. only when she saw my name she will start to react

i don't blame them. they serve hundreds of customer everyday.

from what i see (i go to the bank everyday), most of the customers only know how to scold / pinpoint the tellers. i pity them

plus some investors are outright ignorant. a few time i saw a large crowd of people try frantically to update their AS1M book. the funny thing is that it is ASM dividend that was announced the week before, and AS1M dividend has not been announced yet  doh.gif
*
I know they serve a lot of customers everyday, I also sometimes pity them but it's their job.

updating AS1M book for ASM dividend. hahahahah, that's too much laugh.gif

Yes, i heard quite many mixed reactions about this fund..

60% of the feedbacks i received stated that there might be chance..

But i am not putting much hope for it to be opened to everyone..

Just take it as a bonus if it is..

if really they open to all, I'm happy. If not, juz cry in silence sad.gif

QUOTE(plumberly @ Nov 16 2013, 02:46 PM)
I went to a bank to try topping my my ASX the other day. The gent there told me that the ASNB office was just a few meters away from the bank and they have better facilities for this topping up. I replied that I have been there before and the queue was very long.

Not disrespecting the teller, this ASX topping up is not that difficult, enter account number, IC number and then the account balance. See if there is any available for the amount one has entered.

Workwise, maybe a 30 seconds job. Then why the general resistance in helping customers to buy ASX?

Just airing my observation (and also frustration. Ha)

juz plain lazy people, love to "divert" ASNB customer to ASNB branch whistling.gif

agreed rclxms.gif If I remembered correctly all ASNB funds don't invest in gambling & brewery companies, only tobacco companies sweat.gif

May I know how to check the availability of ASW2020, ASM, and AS1M, since they are in quota basis?
As the report showed no different in Net Distribution per unit for all the above, does it mean they are equally good in return?
Sorry if I'm asking silly Q here, I just started to know about the amanah saham and wish to transfer my FD to it.
Thx in advance to all the shifu that willing to answer me.

based on history, the fixed price fund pays min 6sen dividend. in future I cannot predict the dividend rate

u can try at ASNB branch, CIMB, Maybank, RHB or Pos Malaysia.

if u don't have the passbook, I'm sorry. u cannot buy because those counter staff would not try open new account for u (FOR NON-BUMI).

Bumi quota for AS1M still available & can buy anytime any amount. others fixed price fund I don't know

Some sharing on my top up journey.

Went to RHB 3 times over a few weeks. Outcome? ZERO!

Some success at POS & CIMB ( RM100, 1000)

Rockie at this game. Need some guidance from the more experienced ones.  PM to me the tips, please! Ha.

Any one with some strikes lately? Maybe everyone is now keeping their units. Ha.

Cheerio.
*
nowadays very hard to get any units, most people keeping their units & only redraw if necessary nod.gif

I expect next year would be even tough to get amanah saham units. why? because Johor state would be working on Sundays & I know some "smart" people would use that day to "try" their luck (KV people cannot try because it's holiday whistling.gif )

sorry but i cant find any difference/relevant on your statement.. care to elaborate more?  smile.gif

just example someone in KL sold his units on Friday evening let's say around 3.40pm & there's no one "trying" to buy after that time (just assuming).

so logically speaking which person would get the available unit first, the person "trying" on Sunday or Monday? I'm talking OTC transaction, not online smile.gif

PNB Announces 6.40 Sen Income Distribution For ASN3

This is an increase of 0.10 sen per unit compared with the income distribution of 6.30 sen per unit announced for the previous year.

"The income distribution will involve a total payment of RM9.10 million and would benefit 11,942 unit holders who hold a combined 142.11 million units in ASN 3," said Chairman Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid.

He said, as at November 26, ASN3 recorded a gross income of RM11.37 million.

Of the amount, profit from the sale of shares contributed RM5.65 million or 49.72 per cent while dividend income contributed RM3.31 million or 29.15 per cent.

The rest of RM2.40 million or 21.13 per cent is derived from investment in short-term instruments and other income, Ahmad Sarji said.

"Payment of the income distribution will be re-invested into additional units of ASN3, which will be automatically credited into the unit holders' accounts on December 1, 2013.

"It will be calculated based on the net asset value on November 30, which is the last day of the financial year of the fund," said he added.

The income distribution for unit holders who subscribed ASN3 through the Employees Provident Fund Members' Investment Scheme will be credited into their respective EPF investment accounts.

Unit holders will be able to update their accounts at ASNB head office; ASNB branch offices or ASNB agents beginning December 2.

The income distribution statement and fund's annual report will be sent to unit holders beginning end of January.
