QUOTE(my44 @ Jan 16 2014, 12:28 PM) I contacted my cousin who is doing ASB loan for RHB. Basically as part of the job, she is able to query PNB on how much is the eligibility to top up your savings in ASB. Refer below for my account. it means that you can top up RM 88,709Pay attention to "Unit boleh dibeli" which in my case is 88,709. Does this mean my current balance is 200,000 - 88,709 = 111,291? Jeng jeng jeng … hehehe ![]() or u have invested RM 111,291 into the account your balance is not necessarily RM 111,291 as you have not included your accrued dividends btw, org kaya spotted |

QUOTE(davinz18 @ Jan 16 2014, 02:53 PM) QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jan 16 2014, 03:01 PM) Thats why i said something is not 'right'. Somehow i hear more n more ppl being able to top up beyond the 200K limit. Remember that i was asking about my case last week? I thought i had already maxed out the account. But when checked, the PNB agent said can pump in another RM 3,500 so i transfered immediately. QUOTE(davinz18 @ Jan 16 2014, 03:10 PM) yea, I remembered u case. even lucifah gave the statement pict where we can see how much can top-up. u guys got confused againLooks like there no "firm" policy regarding this 200k limit, anyone with the right "connection" & "know-how" can go beyond the limit Wah, u said already max, still can top-up another 3.5k your INITIAL INVESTMENT limit is RM 200,000. this has been and always will be the same however, your LIMIT can be increased due to accrued dividend thus, if you have RM 200k principal, and your accrued dividend for the past 5 yrs = rm 80k thus your new LIMIT is RM 280k. you can withdraw all RM 280,000 and do ASB financing for that amount just imagine the LIMIT = BASKET you are given a 200k limit BASKET your BASKET can GROW over time in so it can accomodate your principal + dividend your BASKET size NEVER SHRINK you can take out all your money and your BASKET SIZE REMAINS THE SAME which explains why some people can take up to 400k ASB financing (this is the current ASB financing limit that i see they advertise, you can always ask for more, but it depends on the bank's approval) hope everyone understands from this point onward there is NO CONSPIRACY, NO PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT and NO INSIDER at all if there is, i'd be the first to know. my client receives special personalized card on birthdays, new year, hari raya from PNB due to the account balance every year and yet still got 200k INITIAL INVESTMENT LIMIT |

QUOTE(tbheng @ Jan 21 2014, 07:10 PM) A couple of quick questions: Q1. Would I have higher chance to open new ASW/AS1M/ASM non-bumi acct in ASNB than agents? Q2. Would ASNB and/or agents take personal/banker's cheque for top-up? Hope to join you all in the ASx family soon. Q2: no. unless it's a cash cheque with the a/c payee only crossed out and it cashed out at the house bank |

QUOTE(davinz18 @ Jan 21 2014, 08:50 PM) about the 50k-100k "top-up" thing, she have someone "inside" to "help". if not u can't even get rm50 for non-bumi & mostly depend on units availability & some luck she claimed to have to be able to top up that muchanyone can do that. i will reserve my judgement until i see some passbook balances / printouts |

EPF withdrawal to ASB / ASM / ASW2020 / AS1M
don't be too hasty and too hopeful there are many criteria you need to fulfill, and you can only w/draw a certain percentahe of Account 2 balance your Acc1 shall not be touched if you have a 100k EPF, expect to be able to w/draw maybe about 7- 10k for reinvestment. http://www.asnb.com.my/english/epf.htm edit: apparently, it is based on your Acc1 balance too. my bad. QUOTE(backspace66 @ Jan 24 2014, 07:26 PM) I dont mean any disrespect. But this is not even near to the truth. You can withdraw 20% of the amount in account 1 that exceed your minimum account 1 balance(based on age). yes, you are quite correct - but still, you'd need your EPF balance is in the six figures and you are in the younger age bracket On top of that u can withdraw this 20% every 3 months. So for example today u take this 20% then after 3 months from now u can withdraw another 20% and there is nothing stopping you from repeating the step as long as the minimum amount is 1000 ringgit. So theorethically u can withdraw until your axcount 1 left with the minimum amount(based on age) plus 5000 rinngit. For eg. If your minmum amount is 30k.then u can withdraw every 3 months until you are left with 35k anyway, for anyone interested in the EPF reinvestment scheme, apparently there's the new quantum table: http://www.kwsp.gov.my/portal/ms/news-list...DetailPage=true CODE JADUAL : SIMPANAN ASAS KWSP (BERKUATKUASA JANUARI 2014) Umur Simpanan Asas (RM) Umur Simpanan Asas (RM) Umur Simpanan Asas (RM) 18 1,000 31 30,000 44 95,000 19 2,000 32 34,000 45 102,000 20 4,000 33 37,000 46 109,000 21 5,000 34 41,000 47 117,000 22 7,000 35 46,000 48 125,000 23 9,000 36 50,000 49 134,000 24 11,000 37 54,000 50 143,000 25 13,000 38 59,000 51 153,000 26 15,000 39 64,000 52 163,000 27 18,000 40 69,000 53 174,000 28 21,000 41 76,000 54 185,000 29 24,000 42 81,000 55 196,800 30 27,000 43 88,000 This post has been edited by lucifah: Jan 24 2014, 07:48 PM |

QUOTE(backspace66 @ Jan 24 2014, 07:54 PM) The table is self explainatory. That amount plus 5k. You can take it out evry 3 months until your account 1 is left with the amount shown above plus 5k. my eligibility only allows me to reinvest a paltry rm 8k It is clearly stated 6 figure at 45. If you consider that as young. Than i dont know what to say.lol for all the trouble, it's not worth the extra 1% per annum in dividend that i get vs EPF's return |

QUOTE(backspace66 @ Jan 24 2014, 10:12 PM) Clearly you dont understand what i wrote. 20% each withdrawal .withdrawal can be done every 3 months. Please dont confuse other people that is reading the thread as well. I dont have 350k. I only have around 70k above my mandatory saving in account 1. I dont even touch half of 350k. let me get this straight:you mean you can w/draw perpetually as long as your 20% is more than 1,000? wow... learned something new lets's say Mr Ali is 30 yrs old and has 100k in his Acc1 balance (assume his balance is static at this moment) his mandatory savings = 27k His eligbility = 73k thus, in January he can w/draw 20% of 73k = RM 14.6k in April, he can w/draw 20% of (73k - 14.6k) = 11.6k and for the next 3 months: Withdrawal Jan 14 14,600 April 14 11,680 July 14 9,344 Sept 14 7,475 Jan 15 5,980 April 15 4,784 July 15 3,827 Sept 15 3,062 am i correct with this understanding? |

QUOTE(backspace66 @ Jan 24 2014, 10:32 PM) Yes sir you are correct. But if encik ali is still working in malaysia. His account balance will grow every month. en ali doesn't necessarily have to work outsde of malaysia if his EPF balance is staticBut overall the understanding is correct since u assumed his balance is static. en ali might be running his own business (business owners are encouraged to contribute to EPF, but not mandatory) en ali is now very keen and en ali will sure be busy on monday morning |

so i went to ASNB office today for EPF re-investment thingy
bummer. only ASG or ASN products are available - that is variable fund AS1M quota for EPF reinvestment is sold out I'll study ASG returns vs EPF dividend this year and see if it is worth the time to reinvest or not This post has been edited by lucifah: Jan 27 2014, 11:15 AM |

QUOTE(mytaffeta @ Jan 27 2014, 11:53 AM) bro, why you didnt use ur EPF to subscribe unit trust? the return is much higher compare to PNB fund.. idk, you must have analyze the return, just i want to know why? tried it once for the lulz. i put it in aggressive growth fund. leave it for one year. for me i use my EPF to subscribe the CIMB unit trust.. return so far is around 14%.. invested 6k. returned 6.1k. rm 100 from the rm 6k investment over a year which translates to about 1.67% return to be fair, if i put it in normal trust fund, the return on evrage is about 4-6%. which is about what EPF is dishing out |

QUOTE(davinz18 @ Jan 27 2014, 02:48 PM) eh how come quota can sold-out? or EPF already "lack of fund" thus "sold-out" thingy QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Jan 27 2014, 03:41 PM) bumi quota sold out, but there's always people selling. this is latest info after my chit chat session with my bank managerapparently, i am bumped into PW status QUOTE(titanic_crash @ Jan 27 2014, 04:32 PM) for bumi or non-bumi? the 2 bil is for ASB2. even the bank manager has no idea what's the ASB2 features will be. only the allocation size is 2 bil.when i ask the lady at the counter, she said it is available...around rm2 bill (in dec, bumi quota of course) so fast ya...i may consider to change to ASG this march since the charges still 2% if AS1M sold out |
