i just got my rmbp screen replaced recently due to some ghosting occur sometimes, and the back of my screen actually got dent last time when i bang it to a cupboard. I bring to QCD to check and they replaced me a screen in the end. They also fix my flimsy "delete" key even though i did not ask them to do so. anyway, i just bring my macbook over without any other things as they can check through the system to know whether you are still under warranty or not.
just bring in your macbook for a check and ask the service person in details. if you are not sure, you can call apple to file a case first. the service guy from QCD did ask me whether did i file any case, if got then he will just follow up from there. |

QUOTE(blabla987 @ Aug 25 2013, 10:25 AM) i din file any report to apple, just tat they ask whether i did or not.u just need to call apple hotline and tell them u r facing such such problem and they should be able to acknowledge it and then giv u a tracking number, then u can giv that number to the ppl in service center and they can understand the issue background from there also... i'm not sure whether is it a necessary, but if u afraid the service center don give u warranty, then u call apple first, if apple say ok then the service center can't say no also... just giv it a try |

QUOTE(kronologi88 @ Aug 23 2013, 05:50 PM) I used to be work at Apple Service Provider. If your unit has white dead pixel with no physical or accidental damage, it's under Apple warranty. Just send to any Authorized Apple Service Provider. So how Apple Service Provider deal with it? Replace the screen ? or the whole MBPR ? |
