thx for infor, do you think pie shape units interior will be very weird and impractical?

It really depends on individual flavor... Just like some people like sedan car...some people like MPV and some people like 4WD and they are also bikers....
I will say...if you are artistic enough....the pie shape is not a problem... I personally prefer traditional squarish settings...

I would say very much depends on how they partition the space in the pie area, if we look at the TM1 pie unit layout, the non-squarish area are basically the huge windows area in the living room and bedrooms, plus one side of the wall in the kitchen which is not the designated wall for the free kitchen cabinet anyway. The L-shape window in the living room suits the pie shape pretty well..

Yes. You can partition the space accordingly. But you won't get a perfect square either.
From fengshui angle, there will be some missing corner..."que Jiao"... If the missing corner are bad section...then no issue...
Also, a wall that is not straight can make one uncomfortable and dizzy if you stare too long...So partitioning must be planned carefully...

Interesting Fengsui angle u mentioned above biggrin.gif , let's discuss further for fun okie, abit out topic i know,..

We use the layout pic above as illustration here and "assuming this is a single house on a piece of empty land (meaning not condo unit) and this land is exactly the shape of the layout (so to maximize space in the house).

Attached Image

well, it's said that triangular shape layout is not good for fengsui, so now say the owner of this house above, decided to replace the walls that's not straight with the wall in red lines above, will the fengsui improved immediately? The living room, bedrooms, kitchen, yard and toilets surely look n feel smaller now.

What if the triangular space taken out in the bedrooms and living room used to build a triangular shape balcony, will the owner feels better about the whole layout? and will this new rectangular living room, bedrooms, kitchen etc allow for feng shui energy to settle in easier?

Or it is better to maximize land space usage without removing the original walls? biggrin.gif

Just for thoughts. laugh.gif personal choice in the end..

From fengshui angle, triangular shape layout raise 2 issues:

a) Missing corner
b) Curvy walls

What you suggested in the example above is correct, it can solve the problem of curvy walls by turning them into straight lines. Ended up more comfortable and harmonize feeling when you look at the surrounding.

However, you only solve part of the equation i.e., (b), because (a) missing corner is still exist. Having missing corner is not necessary bad if the missing corner is the place where -ve qi is accumulated but it's different case if it's the place where +ve qi is.

A very simple explanation is that, your house facing and direction will determine your sitting the qi that you tap into. This qi will then flow in the house and distribute in 8 corners. These different 8 corners/direction is different section of your house e.g., wealth, peach blossom, 5 ghosts, etc. Hence, having missing corner means your house lack of that section. For a house that complete with all 8 section, we prefer to sleep in the wealth section and having the bad section to be toilet and get them flush away daily. Of course, that is only 1 part of fengshui, which is the layout alone. It's a large topic that we have yet to touch on the internal setup and external landform.

Hope the above clarifies your doubt. Well, like you say it's a personal choice and one's believe in the end. Moreover, Fengsui is the 3rd element in your destiny. Have you heard of 1) Life 2) Luck 3) Fengshui. LOL~

Cheers....
