Just received my st60
Really happy with it. Tried a bluray with it n was really satisfied

Only thing that was really irritating is that the viera keeps switching on my bluray player. Ended up disabling the viera link function

Yes!ST60K got 60" which is P60ST60K only can find it in Senq or Sengheng Shop.....
But according to the previous post, one of our member said Panasonic Shop is start to sell this model too..
You can try to call some Panasonic Dealers near by you to clarify it

The difference between the S60 and ST60 is not just the 3D.
The plasma panel is different, that is why the ST60 is so much more expensive.
And some other features different.

No doubt plasma does heat up quite a bit. But i cant really feel the diff coz my earlier tv also a plasma. I think as long as the room is well ventilated or is airconditioned, then no worries

By the way. I just found out that 60 inch is no longer exclusive to senq. So what one of the members said earlier is true. But senq still the cheapest so far

I have mentioned before in this post, and I will say it again.  The cost delta between plasma and LCD is not that significant if you calculate it out.  Please check here for a good estimate inclusive of calculator:

If you use 5 hours per day of a 55" plasma or LED TV, and at RM0.50/kWh electricity cost, then the annual electricity consumption of an average LED is about RM60, and for an average plasma is about RM124. 

That comes up to RM64 additional per year, or RM5.50 additional per month, or 18 cents additional a day.

If I had less than RM6K to spend on a TV, I could buy a 60" ST60 plasma, or LG or Sharp 60" LED ... I would choose the plasma, as the Pana plasma picture quality is much better than the LG or Sharp LED.  Definitely worth more than 18 cents a day to me.  The colour and contrast is much more natural on a plasma, of course, you will need to watch TV under low light conditions, and properly calibrate your TV.

Yes, the 60" ST60 is a better deal compared to 65" ST60 based on RM per inch basis, I think Panasonic charges a premium to those buying the largest size plasma on the ST60 series.

The Sony equivalent priced W804A model would be the 55", which is smaller, unless you go for the 60" R550A which might not have as good a picture quality.

Key advantage of Sony TVs is that power consumption is among the lowest of all TVs, lower than the average calculated in the rtings website.

I heard from some Panashop folks that the best time to buy Panasonic plasma TVs is just before Chinese New Year, when Panasonic wants to clear stocks for the new year's models - however since Panasonic will no longer release any more new plasma models, I am not sure if this will be the case this new year.
