Thanks for the info, I'm a bit worry as my TV side do not have aircond or fan on top, and it distance from the sofa side about 15 feet where the fan ceiling with, can't really feel ventilated from TV side.
QUOTE(Spot23 @ Dec 2 2013, 10:48 PM) 5699. No pen. 2 pairs of glasses. Bought at senq No doubt plasma does heat up quite a bit. But i cant really feel the diff coz my earlier tv also a plasma. I think as long as the room is well ventilated or is airconditioned, then no worries By the way. I just found out that 60 inch is no longer exclusive to senq. So what one of the members said earlier is true. But senq still the cheapest so far |

Thanks mykchin8 for enlighten me, really helpful
Sorry All, I'm a bit dumb on this, just want to know what is expecting happen to future electricity bill without catch a shock I think i will go for 60ST60, since it even better than what was my mind - Sony W804A, that time I thought only got 65" which price is far away from my budget. hopefully this weekend, or wait until Christmas time for promotion QUOTE(mykchin8 @ Dec 4 2013, 11:05 AM) I have mentioned before in this post, and I will say it again. The cost delta between plasma and LCD is not that significant if you calculate it out. Please check here for a good estimate inclusive of calculator: This post has been edited by alvincks: Dec 4 2013, 10:29 PMhttp://www.rtings.com/info/lcd-vs-led-vs-p...lectricity-cost If you use 5 hours per day of a 55" plasma or LED TV, and at RM0.50/kWh electricity cost, then the annual electricity consumption of an average LED is about RM60, and for an average plasma is about RM124. That comes up to RM64 additional per year, or RM5.50 additional per month, or 18 cents additional a day. If I had less than RM6K to spend on a TV, I could buy a 60" ST60 plasma, or LG or Sharp 60" LED ... I would choose the plasma, as the Pana plasma picture quality is much better than the LG or Sharp LED. Definitely worth more than 18 cents a day to me. The colour and contrast is much more natural on a plasma, of course, you will need to watch TV under low light conditions, and properly calibrate your TV. |

Thanks again mykchin8, did you means Panasonic will stop produce Plasma TV? what will be the replacement then?
QUOTE(mykchin8 @ Dec 4 2013, 11:02 PM) Glad that the information was helpful. Yes, the 60" ST60 is a better deal compared to 65" ST60 based on RM per inch basis, I think Panasonic charges a premium to those buying the largest size plasma on the ST60 series. The Sony equivalent priced W804A model would be the 55", which is smaller, unless you go for the 60" R550A which might not have as good a picture quality. Key advantage of Sony TVs is that power consumption is among the lowest of all TVs, lower than the average calculated in the rtings website. I heard from some Panashop folks that the best time to buy Panasonic plasma TVs is just before Chinese New Year, when Panasonic wants to clear stocks for the new year's models - however since Panasonic will no longer release any more new plasma models, I am not sure if this will be the case this new year. Happy shopping, and hope you buy the TV that will make you very happy! |

Hi Sorenin,
I went IOI as well, they have display unit only, the price is RM5.7k, even i told i got the membership..and i also try to call other branch, they all said the same, they only have show unit, there can't even do ordering as it already discontinue I think i'm not going for display unit with that price...and 65" is too expensive to me... hmm...I think i have to switch my target to Sony 55w804A..too bad QUOTE(sonerin @ Dec 7 2013, 12:29 PM) If you are sengQ member go to IOI. They have promotion for member. After deduct some points the price is only 5400 This post has been edited by alvincks: Dec 7 2013, 08:59 PM |
