I am new to TV shopping, I have a rough idea of what the different is, but I see most of the tv are LED instead of plasma.

Maybe I should be more specific by saying I am looking to spend maybe anywhere around 1-2k for the tv. (Not sure what is the appropriate amount to spend for tv this size. Will adjust the budget if required.)

Dumb tv is enough. No need any smart function or 3D. As long as can connect to my media player via HDMI, I'm all set.

i try to search that model in the trade zone and the price is about 2.3k+ correct?

like i say, if needed I can adjust my budget

any other plasma model i should be looking at? maybe an LED variant?

how bout TH-L42E6K?

Tried that yesterday night and it doesn't work. The yellow button does nothing.  The two buttons to the left of yeloow seems to be like skip to the next file, and the button to the right of yellow does nothing as well.  Anyone can chip in comment on this?  Need to know how to view subtitle file on MKV video files.

Your remote is slightly different from mine, for my case, the OPTION button will do. There can select audio, video, subtitle and etc settings

anyone of you experience USB overcurrent on your LED TV after plug in 2.5 portable hardisk and how to solve this ?

at the moment face this with my portable hardisk. No issue with my thumb drive. Heard from other forum, it is advise to use USB to boost up the power to avoid this error sign. Not able to try as no USB hub with me.

no need call hoe huat. Hoe huat just help to register the set online with Panasonic.

my old set 50v20 , have burnt board issue, just call them , they will come change it in less then 10 minutes.
beres. all they ask is the tv serial number.

Yeah...sure, the moment I get the warranty card I can do the checking right away.
as for 50v20 its almost 2 years already.

It happened last year.
only on standby mode , tv cannot on. so red light blinking.
call them they ask how many blink they already can diagnose whats actually wrong.

Thanks.  Clearly my vision failed me because I did not see the word "below".  I manage to view mkv file with subtitle now.  Will proceed to download movies in mkv now that allow me to select subtitle from now on.  Thanks again.
