Perfect Livin fair coming to SPICE in Penang next weekend. Panasonic as usual is a sponsor. should check it out. Last time was in May. I wonder if the VT60 65" series would drop below 10k.
*
Hmm.. just wondering, how about Perfect Livin in KL this weekend, anybody spotted Pana plasma TV on sale? Wondering how much they are priced

I'm not sure...no loosing to ask... the last time I ask is also on 31/8, but the price there stated 7599. Then.. they told me there is RM500 plus one member discount and then the additional discount is from manufacturer, nothing about merdeka sales... so I presume, if asked, maybe still can get as its from manufacturer... but I might be wrong as well loo

Just book my ST65... delivered tomorrow rclxms.gif

50K is last year model while 60k is this year model.. as for the XT and X differences, I'm not too sure, but this year no more XT series already.

Yah the SA was telling me to get the XT which basically everything is the same with the 50x60k 2013 model, and the 3D feature is just additional. I m thinking if both the same price then might as well get the additional feature. Unless the 60k got some extra features or better than the previous model.
*
Just my 2 cents, I don't think it is valuable to get HD ready TV nowadays, if possible go for S60, or the LED series that support Full HD, 3D is just a gimmick, not important at all

QUOTE(mox123 @ Sep 5 2013, 02:34 PM)
Wow, the price is very good especially with all those goodies  rclxms.gif ....btw, what's the 4GB thumb drive for?
*
Haha... What is the thumb drive for?? whistling.gif .... hmm saving anime and HK/ Korea drama to be played loh.. ha ha...
4GB... so small doh.gif but since it is free, then sapu loh

Just check the ST65 TV yesterday, delivery guy set up ok. rclxm9.gif Overwhealming experience when switch on DLNA and play some FHD movies. Maybe because my old TV is 42 inch HD ready, so I sense very very big difference.

Only manage to do software update, setup wireless and dlna with NAS and play with the swipe and share apps. Not yet have time to watch 3D cool2.gif check the TV run time and also set the screen setting.

All in all, the TV is worth thumbup.gif

My living hall is kinda small and due to budget constrain also I have to get something below 3k...coz I saw the 50xt can do direct conversion to 3d. Is that means I can convert any normal downloaded movie to 3d?
*
Ya... 50' or 42' is ok, no need to get big size but I think that full HD is more important, then followed by screen size and 3D features..
Yes you can convert any thing playing on your screen to 3D, example from TV1, from astro, or movies from media player, VCD or DVD
But seriously, the 2D to 3D conversion is of no use. My mum got headache after watching for 10 mins. There is a lot of cross talk and the 3D looks strange. But if you got 3D movie from BD player then the 3D effects will be much better.

Is there big difference with ST60 and VT60 in terms of picture quality?
*
Never really get to see a VT series and compared side by side to ST, but the spec already show much difference. I believe should have differences but the question should be how obvious... to me maybe hard to notice but to avid AV followers.... they can straight away tell the difference

By the way, any sifu here successfully play any 3D content? Until now, I still cannot seems to play 3D on the TV.
I have a 3D iso file, then using a PC mount it then copy out the content, next place the content onto portable HDD and plug into TV to play, but as the TV is not a bluray player, it will not open the menu or let me select the sound, chapter and etc, instead, I will need to browse to the BDMV folder to play the movie. The movie is only 1080P, I press the 3D button but it operates 2D->3D conversion, not native 3D...
Anybody play native SBS 3D movie on the TV without using blueray player? Please share!!

Just sharing
After going through numerous websites and some valuable input from SteadyPana, it is confirm that bluray 3D .iso, can only be played by writing it to a bluray disc then play on bluray 3D player or mount image on PC, then use PowerDVD to play it and then conncec pc to TV through hdmi...

There is no way to play the iso, or the extracted BDMV to get 3D movie directly using USB HDD or DLNA server. But the extracted BDMV can play in 2D no problem

Hello Sifus & Gurus here  notworthy.gif

I'm looking to buy a plasma TV and two have caught my attention. The TH-P50X50K & TH-P50X60K
Appreciate your kind guidance on which one to choose. What's the difference in specs, advantages/disadvantages, etc.
Both retailed at around RM2.6k

Thankssss  rclxms.gif
*
Just my 2 cents.
From what I check, the spec is the same, just that one is 2012 model while 60k is 2013 model.
If the price is the same, it is better to go with 60k unless there is a discount of 30% discount on 50k

the easiest way is either hook up a cheap notebook to your TV to play the downloaded 3D or get a 3D media palyer.
*
My cheap notebook cannot decode the video streams fast enough for a smooth 3D playback.
3D media player can play .iso file, which brand? The 3D streams are not the SBS or the OU type but the full HD frame packing 3D

How long have you bought the unit? Depending on your warranty, You may want to call the seller shop as well.
