lol time to give this thread a nice ressurection!
1stly, about me...
hi all, i'm a noob keyboard player...since my childhood days i remember messing around with my family's 1st Casio board..which is not too bad. somehow i lost the momentum & never get the chance to have a formal musical education. during the process of growing up i've learnt to play other instruments like guitar & drum..but that's it, all coming out was annoying noise..lol!
the thought of learning synthesis comes out again lately since the last few years after i get bored with me mixing other people's music. i'm still not able to play the keys with 2 hands simultaneously, instead i am more interested with sound creation, what makes that distinctive razor sharp supersaw sign, playing with filters & layering different sounds to make a phat patch! i read about basic synthesis & tried to apply it on my vsti to get further understanding. sure it sounds nice on the computer, but at that time i'm yet to have the hardware, even midi controllers. so bought a cheap midi interface to connect my sister's Roland GW-7 keyboard to control the Vanguard vsti in FL Studio. man the latency was terrible! i dont know what i have done wrong...got sick with the setup & better save a lot of my dough to buy better hardware.
I saw videos about V-Synth GT & fell in love! it's waay pricey though...but it's not impossible. then i saw the Fantom G (also on the list since i have nothing to start on my music production venture) & also the AX Synth which was pretty cool. so i asked around my local music shop if they can bring them in via ordering. they said the dealers got an FG6 on stock, so now i just settled with the FG6 which i also paid a premium price as stated in the catalogue

i still

over the V-Synth GT though...
