justin_nys, i have no problems buying from ebay. check if the seller has high ratings. some more, M3 is made in japan, and has no moving parts. So it will be fine. I don't own an M3, but knows a bit about it

lol time to give this thread a nice ressurection!

1stly, about me...
hi all, i'm a noob keyboard player...since my childhood days i remember messing around with my family's 1st Casio board..which is not too bad. somehow i lost the momentum & never get the chance to have a formal musical education. during the process of growing up i've learnt to play other instruments like guitar & drum..but that's it, all coming out was annoying noise..lol!

the thought of learning synthesis comes out again lately since the last few years after i get bored with me mixing other people's music. i'm still not able to play the keys with 2 hands simultaneously, instead i am more interested with sound creation, what makes that distinctive razor sharp supersaw sign, playing with filters & layering different sounds to make a phat patch! i read about basic synthesis & tried to apply it on my vsti to get further understanding. sure it sounds nice on the computer, but at that time i'm yet to have the hardware, even midi controllers. so bought a cheap midi interface to connect my sister's Roland GW-7 keyboard to control the Vanguard vsti in FL Studio. man the latency was terrible! i dont know what i have done wrong...got sick with the setup & better save a lot of my dough to buy better hardware.

I saw videos about V-Synth GT & fell in love! it's waay pricey though...but it's not impossible. then i saw the Fantom G (also on the list since i have nothing to start on my music production venture) & also the AX Synth which was pretty cool. so i asked around my local music shop if they can bring them in via ordering. they said the dealers got an FG6 on stock, so now i just settled with the FG6 which i also paid a premium price as stated in the catalogue sad.gif
i still drool.gif over the V-Synth GT though...

Good to see keyboardists here. It is very hard to find good keyboardists not only in Malaysia...but in the world!

I am a professional Keyboardist who have been performing for well over 20+ years. Good to be part of this community!

For Beginners....the best value for money is still CASIO. CASIO is no longer like those days where people call it toys. Now it is capable of some pretty impressive qualities.

Do a search in youtube and you'll know.

hi i remember some asking me where to get the double tier keyboard stand like Ultimate Apex which is not available in malaysia (or prepare to pay over RM700)

today I found the cap ayam one (MAGNUM brand) at DoReMi for RM270. i had the same brand more than 10 years ago (but had to sell it for money). it's sturdy. although assembling it requires a screw driver and couple of minutes.

there's few doremi which have this model in stock. I got this at their new branch at SS15

uh hey guys, i own a second-hand Casio CTK-3000, it's my first keyboard, i love playing it, but the thing is that the max volume is so freaking soft.. so i wanna connect them to the speakers for my computer (a 2.1 subwoofer) should i be doing that? will the sound quality be crappy?

both my headphones and computer speakers don't have the ZZZZZZZZ when playing on both MP3 and Laptop even though I put it on MAX volume.

but when i plug my headphones to the keyboard via the adapter, the volume isn't loud enough (oh, got zzz sound also although not loud), which is why i wanna try on speakers. But speakers have really loud ZZZZ sound when connected to the keyboard and the sound is freakishly blur.. cry.gif please tell me it's the adapter problem and not the keyboard having too poor sound quality???? cry.gif cry.gif
