Didn't notice the bolt was actually not centered   
btw, even after twisted it nearest to magnet, it improved slightly... around 10% now

After few trial-n-error, noticed when the handle post is upright (as attached), bolt & magnet manage to snap closely around 95%.... but once handle post is folded, it's again far apart   
still trying to figure out what exactly the prob is... 

It's a used bike, that's why I'm afraid. Well it feels normal, but I never open it up yet. I heard if it's rusty, it can break and cause brake failure?

in fact, the bike is nice
in this case, user in-experiences (my 1st foldie  ) has to take some blame
also the shop that doesn't able to advise me the optimum position during fold mode + handle bar is not fully aligned when setting up the bikes
shop even trying to justify the magnet issue "it's like that one... normally it's only about 10% snap, nothing much can be done....bla bla..."

and im thinking between dahon broadwalk and vybe c7a. any sifu out there has a better suggestion?

I'm interested to know why you own a folding bike? Lack of storage space? Cute to look at or be looked at? Fun to ride?
Some of you have plans to ride big distances or tackle big hills, so I'm curious why you would want a foldie? For the same price of a high end foldie, I can get a carbon framed racer that would eat distances and climb hills, so why a foldie?

For me, it is portability and practicality. Distances and hills, the foldie stays home.

What about you?

How much do they cost? and where could I get em?

i am tempted, told my wife abt this, she said i'm crazy to do that,   she'd rather have me buy a cheapo MTB as 2nd bike if i wanted more gears to pedal on.

heh... u dono how i felt last nite when i cycled about 4km with her... on a flat road, i am at max 7th gear and pedalling furiously. she easily overtakes me on her 16th gear while on less than half cadence of what i was doing and then left me about a hundred metres before stopping to wait for me at the traffic light... so relaxed yet faster!

this morning she pijak kaw me saying "it's not the gearing dear, it's your leg power..." aiyak kena one tight slap liao... hahah.

As someone here said earlier..."Upgrade your legs first"......

im staying at setapak...maybe i can join if i got my bike d...but will be after cny =(

i'm at danau kota. But to cycle to titiwangsa I scared. So many cars.

dono about you, but sometimes i do wish that my foldie comes with at least suspended fork. whenever we ride on the road sides or kerbs, they're literally strewn with plenty of rubbish and stones and the roads are uneven or cracked. damn i hate riding on that kind of surface.

I just got quoted by Bike Malaysia - Kimbell Jaya. Dahon Boardwalk D8 RM1300. Is it expensive? or I can get better deal somewhere or another Dahon model?
