The uno is my city bike as I used it every now and than...and would want to tour with it if under foldie group..

I am quite new to folding bike bicycle, and already do some survey for the price of folding bike.

More or less is the same as the list suggested here

LOUIS GARNEAU LGS Pop from 950-1050
Dr. Hon VYBE C7S from 950-980
Dahon ECO from 750-850

But, i have a confusion. In which I should go for this new bicycle which is suit for my budget, or i should wait for a nice deal of a used bicycle from doppelganger, dahon and etc?

The Boardwalk transformation is done. There are a few issues. It is actually quite selfish of Dahon to not include the RD hanger and now, I have to hunt for an adapter. The original Neos 8 or 9 for that matter has very short cage and when I modified the triple chainring, the largest chain cannot use the last low gear    and if I lengthen the chain, the granny chainring cannot use the last 3 high gear as the chain sags and get stuck in the last cog againts the body and jams up the RD. Now I know the reason why the RDs on the multi chainrings of the new Dr.Hon Dash P18 and the Dr. Visc P18 breaks. They have since modified their RDs but I think it's still a lousy Neo RD. Adapters and Shimano RDs are the way to go.

Other than the issues above, the Dr.Hon Boardwalk is actually a nice ride. Only drawback is the lady like looking frame. Hahaha   It actually shares the same geometry and same metal with the Dahon Speed P8 and the ride is almost identical. The Speed's maintube is bigger, that's all and also the biggest difference is off course the Speed P8 has a hanger for REAL rear derailleurs. I would recommend the Boardwalk for ladies. It's easy to ride but it's ideal to have double chainring and also a better shifter and RD. The Boardwalk plus another few hundred bucks for the upgrades makes a really good bike. 

The new green shifters are also sh*t stuff. I took it apart and had a look at it. Even the cheaper Microshift shifters are way ahead of it. It's so bad that I even installed an old SRAM unit onto the old bike and I refuse to use the shifter. 

But those unusable combinations are those not used anyway, so, have to bear with it until the adapter is found.

Even the brake caliper also cannot be seen. 

The cheapest I have mod before for a friend is RM90 for a Prowell crank (dual chainring) , Microshift 3x8 speed shifter RM120, Microshift FD (her bike has a 34.9 mm seat tube, so no need FD adpater) , RM90 and some cables and housing + cable ties RM20, so total RM320. But if you need FD adapter, add another RM80, no need to be Litepro lah!    Advantage is the adapter has a cable router! If you don't have, you need to modify a cable router to pull the FD.

Still brakeable but when u r on flat wet muddy ride, brake is unimportant anymore. U brake u skids 
Jes have to hang on the motion. 

It's my wife's ride and according to her, the bike feels lighter than the Eco C7 and also rides more comfortably. Probably the chromoly steel which is more flexy and absorbs bumps better than the harsh aluminium. She said the ride is exactly like my daughter's Speed P8, meaning it's a good geometry. It should be a fair comparison as all her old components are on the new Boardwalk. Same components and same rider.,

Here's the picture of the Eco C7 after reassembly. Looks new but then everything is new except fot the frame.

hi guys, anyone know what is the price range for the airnimal/dahon jetstream folding bike? and does any shop still selling it? or do guy have any other suggestion for full suspension folding bike?
