... As part of that goal, we’re removing the tiered difficulty system (the one that requires you to work your way through Normal, Nightmare, Hell, and Inferno) that exists right now.

We’re replacing it with something that’s more open, and (more importantly) won’t require you to play through the story multiple times if you don’t want to.

So, the Normal > Nightmare > Hell > Inferno progression path is gone.

Instead, starting in the pre-expansion patch, you’ll find that monsters will level up as you do, and they’ll gain additional affixes depending on what level range they’re in.


You’ll be able to influence monster damage, health, and rewards by selecting one of nine new difficulty settings* as well, similar to the way Monster Power works currently.

what he mean is that the difficulties level that required you to complete normal first, then unlock nightmare and so forth is gone.

you can start with any difficulty right from the start. not the new "Easy, Normal, Hard, Torment, Demonic and Apocalypse"

I know that Paragon lvl in RoS will be account wide but it is correct if let say I have 2 max level characters; one of them paragon lvl 60 and another one paragon level 1 then when RoS launch , my new paragon lvl will be 30? I saw some post in Bnet saying that the new paragon lvl in RoS will be total all paragon level in all chars divide by total char. If correct, I think im gonna delete all characters except the one with highest paragon lvl :S

From what console have right now paragon lvl is share with all toon...

My monk was at paragon 38

Once my DH lvl60 it straight away gets paragon38..

And no matter which toon i use for looting they all other toon get leveled also..

Paragon lvl is much slower to gain.. Took me 4 to 5 day to lvl up 1 paragon.. Avg playing time 4 to 5 hours a day.

just one thing, talking abt the disappearing auction house, do I have to collect 1500+ flawless square just for one monkey gem ?

no. you're account wide paragon level will be level 60 + whatever paragon exp for level 1 is.

I believe it would be

2 lv 60 characters, 1 is paragon lv 60, 1 is paragon lv 1

when Paragon 2.0 is up

new Paragon Level = total paragon experience point you have earned for the paragon lv 60 and lv1 will be import into new paragon experience bar

so new Paragon level you will get can be any level which we don't know yet, and this level benefit shares to all characters you had on ur d3 account

what you can do in current paragon system that helps upcoming paragon 2.0
- play lv 60 characters, earning experience for paragon level, all paragon experience point will be counted into new paragon level system
- playing non lv 60 characters wont earn any paragon experience, it only earns experience for your character base level until u reach lv 60 to start earning paragon experience
- playing lv60 character with paragon lv 100 will not earn paragon experience anymore.
- more characters with highest possible paragon level means more paragon experience you had for new paragon 2.0, and higher paragon level 2.0 you get

new paragon 2.0
- new paragon 2.0 level will be automatically assigned by total paragon experience you have earned so far, it is different than old paragon, so level number can be different.
- all characters in ur account will share the same paragon level, every of the character has their own total stat points to spend
- playing non lv 60 (and non lv 70 for RoS players) characters will not earn experience for paragon until they reached lv 60 or( lv70 for RoS player)

Other way i see is swap the gem that you don use with other player.. Like what i do now...
And maybe blizz will reduce the mats needed to craft it.. Finger cross... Hihihi

That is definitely a good change and looks like RoS will be a pretty good expansion after all.

I like the changes I am seeing.

No more Auction House. Has Adventure Mode. Has Loot Run/Nephalem Rift. No more playing the game through 4 times to reach hardest difficulty. Hopefully better loot drop with matching stats.

That might get me back to D3 if they also allow offline characters.
