more A7r (36mp) sample images posted. with the current lens setup, the 35mm doesn't look very convincing although the 55mm seems stunning in the brian smith field test article (particularly the portrait 100% crop). some of the 100% crop of the 35mm seems to show softness in details wide open (f2.8) in the center, probably means it'll become a slow slow lens if want sharpness by stopping down.
also, some of the real world test shots of the A7r jpeg seems to have quite some visible noise in the shadow despite only ISO1250 even with DRO set to off. i'm not sure what's going on here cause i don't expect to see visible noise in shadow area of jpegs (not RAW) with supposedly most current FF sensor. even with NR off ISO1250 shouldn't be something challenging for FF sensor, it looked more like APS-C. i have a feeling that D800 still hold the crown for the best 36mp shooter. we'll see how the A7r perform when it's ready to be shipped. |

QUOTE(samsungfreak @ Oct 22 2013, 06:29 PM) The new name is not A7 which will confuse with A mount series. It's product code is officially ILCE-7, named "Alpha 7". There is a lot of online resources mistake the "α" Alpha symbol in front of the "7"/"7R" as "a" and name it "a7" then become A7 which is not official name. i'm sure getting the α7, i already have some manual lens which is FF ready. |

hi, currently using 18-55 lens on nex-F3, is that ok to sell this lens and get the current lens 16-50mm? cause the point is the reduce the size.

If your only concern is size, sure why not? You lose out in some startup time, and some speed adjusting fl though

I won't say it's "better" just that there are pro and cons.
SEL1855 = manual zoom + better IQ ( subjective ) + faster startup + faster zoom adjustment - bulky SEL1650PZ = powered zoom + compact size + 2mm wider. More significant than most people think + Nice zoom adjustment for video shoots - Slower startup - Slower zoom adjustment - heavier barrel distortion ( subjective ) |

QUOTE(Reckoning @ Oct 23 2013, 08:28 AM) I think we are thinking the same thing RX1 probably 8k plus A7 plus say the FE 35 f2.8 probably Rm7k plus. I'm hoping maybe there will be an A5 later on. No EVF and no pentaprism bulge. Smaller like RX1 but ILCE This post has been edited by idoblu: Oct 23 2013, 03:25 PM |
