EGM Previews Double Agent

EGM emphasizes that SC:DA "ditches the dark" since Sam Fisher does not have his trademark headgear for a significant portion of the game. The article says that there was a lot of great texture art in Chaos Theory, but most gamers couldn't see it because the game was so dark! In SC:DA, you will be able to appreciate more brightly lit gorgeous environments.
Settings include swimming in the freezing waters of Iceland, infiltrating a cruise ship in Cozumel, Mexico, witnessing a civil war under the harsh daylight of the African sun in Kinshasa, Congo.
The article summarizes the game nicely saying: "The greatest tension is the notion of choice." There are multiple endings to the game, main characters will die depending on your decisions, and certain missions become playable depending on what path you chose.

I met a friend who when to E3, he tried it and told something abt SC:DA which make me wanna buy the game..spoiler?

This game is in my definite buy list already after watching the video about it on E3... it's just... don't know how to say must buy!! and oh... rainbow six as well

1) In the beginning, Sam will do a parachute jump and you will be able to control and when to pull it... GERONIMO!
2) One scene a terrorist will hand you a gun in FPS to shoot someone....dunno who maybe its Lambert...he he he

Let's get some old school SCCT multiplayer going on b4 SC DA comes out.

SCDA for xbox1 will have few extra mode thats not available in xb360. the spy vs spy and co-op mode. i sense premium DLC.....

Haih..it's the Splinter Cell tradition. Ought to be some dissapointment in between when it's develop by ubisoft shanghai...

SCDA no have spy vs merc... or did they keep it... they said they were removing spy vs merc for spy vs spy.... But also has aversion of something liek co-op, Just missions with very little plot with a teammember.. (headbutt video is in MP i think)... These mish basically set u somewher teammember do objective etc... BUt not really has a plot for each that leads to one another... Will shop ontop of sungei wang (must use stairs to get all the way up there) Have on release date? (and maybe a few days after )

i'm always a big splinter cell fan, it's just that i got not enuff money to get GoW n SCDA at the same time. i'll have to wait till a later time to buy the game

Splinter Cell is my absolutely top priority. It's one of the best series I've ever played, failed to disappoint on all 3 occasions.

DA will probably blow me away.

dude.. the connection is really bad. I've downloaded it.. but I think their servers are really sucky... Hard to get into a game.. Have no idea of how to create a room either... really hard.

I got in once.. and I think spy is pretty fun ..

U can't create a private room for the online demo. So it's hard to organise a game amongst friends ... that'll have to wait till the retail version is out.

Hard to join the VERSUS online games. Says "joining", then takes forever, and in the end gotta go back to dashboard and get back in.

CHALLENGE (i.e. mission) games are easier to hook up to, but got kicked out several times ... not sure if it's the server or the host that kicked me out. Tried a few times with 3 online players (max) and no apparent lag.

I keep getting kicked out.

Very frustrating, I was looking forward to giving it a proper try. I created a server on LAN mode just to try it out but it kinda made no sense without teammates, heh!

Singleplayer demo is next week. Be prepared

Played the demo...my feeling is abit of...mixbag...
Like it for the 3 versus 3? more players now...gfx is good, its smooth and stuff.

The thing is, it feels too simple now. The gameplay has been simplified...of course its much mor accesible now but somehow the old Splinter cell feel is not there.

Anyway..i still like the game.

Played the MP demo graphics nice but overall not very impressive..

will wait for Vegas demo

I also managed a few rounds of MP yesterday.

Stupid things that I did...
- didn't know about the spy's flash grenade till I got hit with one when playing as merc.
- didn't know I didn't have to stand beside the terminal to hack it!
- didn't know that subtle vibration was a spy sneaking up behind me to snap my neck!
- didn't know what the heck the Right D Pad view for the mercs do, what is it?

damn they need better instructions! found it interesting overall this is a might buy for me.

Haha ... my guess is, this must be ur 1st time playing Spy vs. Merc right, now worries, once u get the hang of it ... you will be breaking necks all the way

No you can see the tutorial demos oin the MP demo itself. You will learn all those features for both spies and mercs.

the tutorial video isn't detailed enough.. oh well just need time to get used to it I guess.

OK.. had a pretty good match of VS yesterday night.. not too bad, only had one chance to play as spy but I managed to cap a file then, so it was cool. FINALLY found the OTHER training videos under HELP... gheeezzzz..

I have this feeling that the Mercs are VERY disadvantaged in combating the spy threat, no more mines and automated turrets from previous multiplayer games I heard? So the only way to kill them ninja spys is to shot them with your gun whil they jump around like stupid monkeys?

The EMF vision helps the merc at times, but it's also confusing at times.

You need to be behind the merc, press A to grab, and press A again to SNAP!! Oh and don't forget to taunt them before snapping the neck~! BLAM!
