you are on unifi dun ya? to my knowledge hypptv on unifi uses dedicated bandwidth up to 10mbps as opposed on streamyx that uses sharing basis.

I see, I thought you're on unifi. My 8mbps port also open at 10mbps (10239kbps) at TM site.

But one thing that made me feel hairan.
I only subscribe to Hypp Platinum; that is free with the 8Mbps upgrade; but then why there is Sport Channel such as Astro Sport HD that comes with it?

Yes, it will because it will use the same line from your modem. But usually TM will set your downrates to 10Mbps and so your HyppTV will use the remaining 2Mbps.

for info:

HYPP TV not congest ur line internet. thay got reading spec to follow

fiber no problem

example for cooper :

if u know how to see inside modem u can read in the modem ur attainable rate and SNR. which is if ur attainable rate was in spec like 35k/25k above, then ur line was ok. (TM standard minimum quality cooper)

ex: if u subscribe 20mbps and ur cooper get 80k/30k was good for ur line. coz iptv use 10mbps...

but if u subscribe 20mbps but ur like just 25k/15k..then ur tv will be jerking sometime. but still ok..just dont below 10k/10k..even internet will intermitent...

how to know:

80k=80mbps support quality cooper

if u subscribe 10mb = use 10k only

I applied online to upgrade from 4mb to 8mb midnight and this morning about 9.00 am got a call from their contractor.
He started asking about installation for the Hypp set top box, as per online application I specified self collect.
I believe if they send it will be another RM 100 charge.

You collected yours from TM point? How about the installation of the STB, is it easy?

extremely easy, plug-in power cable and connect your STB to your router either by wifi or LAN.
Just few things need to set manually, ID and password as well as your wifi password.
