Thanks all for speedy replies. Appreciate it. Guess it's gonna be like a culture shock if switch from Astro. Wonder why after so many years hypptv doesn't wanna improve its channels.

If I had Unifi, the speed itself will make me able to live stream HD football mathches right guys? But finding the free stream sites and bypassing all the advertisements is really troublesome. Plus how am I to live stream it on TV? Astro on the Go is a right choice too but even for that have to pay right if I cancel astro?

Plus I've also heard about this IPTV app that can stream Astro and other outstation channels. Some people plug in with hypptv decoder I guess or through Smart TV application. Does this work?
*
Summary; If watching Live EPL matches with no hassle is important to you, then just stick to your Astro package for no hassles. No "Illegal" alternative sources or content providers can fully match that as of now. Its all a cat and mouse game. Thing is, Hypptv might want to improve its service but if Astro already paid for sole rights to broadcasts in Malaysia, then TM's limited as to options.

hmmm... so, that mean for football fanatics, better stick with astro?
how about motorsports - motogp / f1 / wsbk ?
got live telecast for those races??
*
Sticking with Astro...Yes and No... Yes, if you want Astro to take care of all that and No if you will do the taking care.

Seems like there's some truth to the rumors earlier... TM To Unveil “All New” UniFi This Week: Most Likely To Be Faster And More. Hoping for wider coverage and significantly much cheaper faster download & upload speeds.

below are supposedly the new unifi offers.

many incl me already started.

note u must take at least the min hypptv pack.

not available for new users but existing megapack users can keep it for 219+6% = 232.14 for unifi30.

Well, why am I not surprised.... For a moment there, I thought TM were doing some trial run and would revise the pricing. Gonna be sad to lose the extra upload speed and can't justify paying extra for the Unifi VIP50. TM's reason for providing just 5Mbps is that;
QUOTE
As it turns out, most of UniFi customers apparently didn’t fully utilize the upload speed that are available at their disposal. According to the company’s internal analysis, 90% of users were actually using less than 5 Mbps which is the base upload speed that UniFi is offering at the moment.

Well, what of we the other so called 10%, force us to pay more is it... Darn!!

reconfirmed today... the latest package... u have to take minimum one tv pack.. either ruby / jumbo/ aneka / varnam... 209 for all pack with 30mbps... or 219 for jumbo with 30mbps... no more standard pack for existing customer without any tv pack.. for those new one, yes.. but, I bet the price won't stay at 199...

as for free calls, existing customers still enjoy the FREE calls... as for new customers, this service need to top up around rm 20...

so, at the end, I decided to go for jumbo... since jumbo at least included sports pack... 30mbps on the way soon  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif
*
Sounds fair enough. I plan on upgrading at the end of the month. Need to complete a few large uploads and build up uploading ratio on private tracker sites. Downloading at 30Mbps & uploading at 5 Mbps... My seeding ratio will definitely take a hit later... Hopefully not much or TM gives 30Mbps up to match.

It might not be full 1080p but it's not SD either and it's FREE. So try first bro. Keyword is stability.

I downloaded and installed the PC version but I can't see anything. The screen is black and it won't load.  sad.gif
*
That happens, simply means it's currently incompatible with your system as is now. My experience, it gave a black screen for me too on Windows 8.1 no matter how many times I reinstalled or ran in OS compatible mode. I upgraded to Windows 10 and it suddenly works. However, having windows 10 is not a guarantee as some have reported it doesn't work on their systems too. I believe the developer(s) built it that way to avoid over-usage. Same with Android devices, it's selective.

I'm already on Windows 10 but it still didn't work. sad.gif

That's too bad. Say, did you upgrade to Windows 10 while keeping your current programs etc? I actually did a fresh install, removing OEM pre-installed crap and manually hunted down newer system drivers. Doing that probably allowed the software to work. So in case you can, try doing a fresh install with manual drivers installations. Might help. Remember to backup your data.

Hi guys,

I've with my HyppTV package for >24 months now and would like to terminate it (rarely use it). However, the call center refuse to help and insist I need to bring the account owner to TMPoint to do the termination. Due to some personal reason I'm not able to get the owner (my father) to visit TMPoint with me, is there any way I can do the termination without the owner? Or any agents out there able to help? I do have the owner's IC photocopy.

icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif
*
I believe a letter of authorization signed by the account owner, copy of the account owner's IC and your IC would suffice. Just take all to a TM point and they'll process it. While there, you can even ask for an account transfer to your name, save you further hassles down the road.

Any format for the authorization letter?

I did asked the call center whether can just bring authorization letter and visit TM Point myself but she insists said cannot cannot must bring owner  doh.gif  doh.gif
*
Well, unless they've recently changed their MO, still, its not right. What if the original owner left the country or is too ill or whatever to physically be present at their office. I suggest you bypass the phone line and try a more "high-end" TM point and talk to staff there. Usually, they are more receptive to such ideas. As per letter format.... the customary.. I, bla bla, with IC # bla bla, hereby authorize name blabla with IC # ..... to ..... bla bla ... my account. I can be reached at ..... phone number or address for further confirmation if required..... Something along those lines. Its a 1 page affair, signed by you both.

2) Is hypptveverywhere compatible with google chromecast?

3) Is there anyway I can install and use hypptveverywhere on android box? Himedia Q16

1. It hasn't been working on PCs for awhile now.
2. Unknown as don't have a chromecast device. Go check list of officially supported apps.
3. Install from Google Play Store.

Can I please ask how do you pay for Hypptv everywhere? I am not a unifi subscriber. I had the sports channels free when i downloaded the app. Now i think the trial period expired. I tried to subscribe and pay through the app but could not get thru. Anyone have the same problem?
*
Hmmm, try this. There's info about payment and special offers for Digi subscribers. Perhaps, you know a friend or family who is but not using their hypptv everywhere access? There are quite a bit out there. Best of luck.

This was HyppTv's reply. So u need to be a unifi subscriber or Digi customer to use HyppTV Everywhere
Thank you for your email. J
Please be informed that you are require to subscribe UniFi or HyppTV over Streamyx (4/8 Mps) in order to allow you to subscribe HyppTV Sports Packs. Or, if you are DiGi customer, you can subscribe to HyppTV Sports Package (DiGi).

Do revert to us for any further assistance required. We hope you will enjoy your HyppTV Everywhere!

Thanks & regards

Entertaining? That's subjective. There's a list of offered channels on TM's page. Consult.

Hi guys,

I've upgraded to 30mbps + Jumbo pack,  I've a Toshiba Android TV running on 4.4.2, am I able to install the HyppTv app?

Thanks
*
Does your TV come with access to Google's Play Store or allow side-loading apps? If yes to both, then yeah, I don't see why not. Test it out.

*
Oh I see.. Here's a download link to the Hypptv Everywhere (Tablet) apk that I ripped off my Nexus tablet. Try this and hopefully it works. The TV OS might be a bit tricky and requires extra stuff that the TM app devs didn't factor in or can't.

why hypptv everywhere not working in xyz device?

for answer, see faq 1.6:

https://www.tm.com.my/hypptv/everywhere/Pag...HE_HESA_FAQ.pdf

only limited devices and older os supported.

even ipad ios 9 on longer supported. rolleyes.gif
*
That's TM just being lazy. One would think that with all the cash they fleece off customers, they'd allocate more and actually enforce proper app maintenance. Bet they rationalize this as customers "prefer" to use older devices & OS... tongue.gif
