Yup.. Technically, it's still RM179 cuz they bundled in the previously optional free* phone calls feature, worth RM20... I'm still paying RM199 for the VIP10 plan with 10Mbps line.. Contract will be up soon.. Gonna terminate..

I guess they already knew it in advance and announced it like one week to deadline.
Perhaps, that's why they bundled some packs (Aneka, Ruby, Varnam) as part of their Unifi promotion.

I have got also Astro but then if the packs are included on hypp tv, why not?

Yeah, not everyone needs the phone plan. There has been talks with TIME and hopefully those in charge, agree to run their fiber through the building. I'd jump without hesitation.

They free those slots for olympic channels?

hypptv have to work hard to get more popular contents now, else people will run away.

I think it'll be permanent too.. Cuz it appears, one side refused to play nicely with the other.. The contract between Astro & TM was until this year. So differences weren't resolved.

Hard to run away when there's not much to run to and Hypptv packages come by default..

You might be unto something there.. According to this news release by TM.

As for sports i guess it's a disaster for Hypp TV, I only see last season's Bundesliga Football being shown on Hypp Sport 3 and 4 currently...zzzzz..

Probably.. Though I'm fairly certain that Astro should have a plan in place to at least show a few events live or otherwise.

Yeah, I guess at least they will have some programs to update progress of the Olympics.
Else. I will just be watching Hypp TV for Rio Olympics.

Btw, I noticed that while watching HyppTV using the new box (white one) the native source basically could not fill a 32inch TV.
Will need to adjust the tv to wide screen setting to fill it. Does this means that the source is lower definition? Just curious.

Definitely, not all channels or content are being streamed at full 1080p.. So yeah, you'll encounter lower def resolutions and the box/TV tries to adjust for such. Sometimes the channels themselves simply place black bars on both sides of the screen.

I'm still on the much older box, though steps should be similar.. Try toggling between either 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios... For the older box, these can be located under Menu > Settings and I believe "Display" or something similar.. Might help.

I see..then no choice..have to just toggle / adjusting to the source from HyppTV then.

But once you moved to another ISP, HyppTV will just be another history ..
