Finally, my XZU flip-case can 'dock' now!

Let me share with you guys how I did it.

Step 1: The key is removing a part of the left portion of the plastic side case. I used a very sharp blade (my Victorinox pictured here) to cut out the part. Make sure the length on the sides is longer than that of the DK30 dock so you don't have to cut again.


Step 2: You can sand-paper or use a file to smoothen the rough edges of the area that was cut. Though I would say this is optional since the rough edges would not be very obvious once you have placed your XZU in.


Step 3: You need to switch out the standard adapter in the DK30 dock with the included alternative adapter (which has a larger docking area) that is meant to be used with XZU covers. This is a photo of the DK30 with adapter removed. Note that you may need to place additional thick tape for better fitting on the adapter's inside if your XZU cover fits loosely.


Step 4: Enjoy the convenience of this 'docking capability' while your XZU remains well-protected in it's flip-case!

hi every1, i'm new XZU (black) owner here.
bought from lowyat 1st floor 2 days ago, with RM2050, free gift zabalang clear front SP, i didn't apply it.
(and bought a mSD 64GB C10 card 3rd floor, cost Rm188... so exp)

i'm from iOS territory (iphone3->iphone4->ipad2->iphone5), but i'm happy with XZU; big screen really big enjoy.

but i notice 1 problem: is XZU screen over sensitive? it seems cannot differentiate "Drag (scroll)" and "Touch"; especially in google play store, i trying to scroll down to view the app, but sometime it will accidentally touch the app and go inside the app's detail.... it occur very often and annoying

i dun know is it bcos my screen still naked from SP... planning to buy a matte SP here see whether can solve this problem.

any1 having this issue?

Only certain pen work. Try with pencil confirm will work

Note/Note II stylus will do?

No , it wouldn't work.

It was mentioned a few posts back as well.

The note stylus would only work with wacom based digitizers.

Try using a pencil. I tried the same in the Sony Center but I had to press it really hard for it to recognize me writing on it.

Not all pen work. I only managed to find one out of my 14 old ballpen that can. Is the material of the ballpen tip that affects it. Put on SP n you can even forget about using a pen but pencil 2B is still OK.

have been using iphone for many years, xzu is my first android gadget.

have been facing the same issue regarding the scrolling > clicking issue. previously was terrible when i was using the sp, but the frequency has reduced after i removed it (am using it naked now).

am still having the scrolling > clicking issue from time to time, but it seems that no one else is having the same issue here except me...

Got it from dxbox n it cost us26 but yet to recieved it, probably next week. Temporarily I dismantled the dock n took out the cable. Can easily put cable back into dock if needed.
