QUOTE(mengsuan @ Aug 12 2013, 11:44 AM) I haven't decide on the ECU management yet. Standalone or piggyback. Piggyback drawback is no full ignition/fuel mapping control. Standalone drawback is, more cutting on ECU harness, original ECU must be running together with standalone ECU for aircon/AT to work. Meter cluster probably screw up because original ECU lost signals after cutting so many wires from it. tak pe, yang penting PSSSHHTTTTTTT dan laju. And finally, I'm sure very hard to sell the car after these modifications. |

QUOTE(TitanRev @ Aug 12 2013, 02:10 PM) Got or not.....my car stock 1.3 only woh some more got 3 uncle inside including me....gorilla car only 2 person..who's the guy that ride with Kenji.... lol my car will slow down on accelerating past 130km/h. your car was at 160/170 km/h on 4th gear with a LOT of rpm to spare and a 5th gear.btw, just to share with fellow gaga owner on my handling setup. This is an old picture....the improvement on the handling is not just adding bars..its more than that....you need to have an idea how you want your car to behave so that you mod the car to your idea. such is life for an old 1.5 3 speed auto lol. the only thing that my car is proud of is it's 4g15 engine that's from mitsu and it's a trialed & proven engine that's able to last almost forever (14 years with the family after all, first hand car from my mom) ps: damn clean underneath |

QUOTE(TitanRev @ Aug 12 2013, 02:56 PM) Quazacolt, I like your iswara leh....I see the engine also feel excited....because I can lay my hands all over it....molest until I syok syok......I also grow up with the 12V 4G1 series....since my uncle had 1 of the earliest saga before that he had a 120Y the car is sold to an old uncle but still driving on the road leh...no plate was NQ 1748 solid maroon colour....I had lots of memories with the 120Y the 2B pencil like needle on the gauge...Hahahaha.... haha maybe next time let you molest lo... now full of carbon/leaked EO Not to be ego or brag, but I would like to try taking on a 1.6 gaga SE with my 1.3. I want to see how far will my gaga get left behind.... i just molested my engine this morning to check on EO level, dipped a bit so need to top up, and the ATF dipstick since i bumped my AT box sump (again sigh). however it seems like there's only very minor paint chip. it is black, and can see exposed metal already. gonna respray it this or next weekend lol, have to find some day to ACE and buy high temp paint sprays if the 1.6 is an auto, you have plentiful of chance for me, so long i don't end up last in my own category (like i did on dato sagor first track experience) i'm happy enough. and yes, i'm second last on last speedfest surprisingly faster than a same 4g15 iswara that's on MANUAL. (he is a first timer while i'm second timer on a track however still first timer on elite speedway usj) my noob ness shows as well as i went in with 32psi on my tires (everyone else advised 28-29 rofl) and lost grip way too fast going on estimated 36-39 after im done on my runs. (5 laps) tires completely lost grip by the 3rd lap >.> so yeah, this time i'll be prepared with a tire pressure gauge LOL! |

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Aug 12 2013, 03:37 PM) In stock form, the car can still corner faster, but the amount of body roll robs off the confidence. lol experienced the older saga/iswara body roll? even worse, totally like boat as if going to topple over.i still remembered people taking pictures of my car during my first track day on stock suspensions, the car looked like it wanted to roll over and a huge majority of the corners my car tripoded |

oh ya, forgot to mention, as you suspected, the front torque mounting was indeed dead. (likely thanks to the accident back then) rear torque mounting can't really inspect unless i poke my head in however with the engine flinging back so much while testing, i'd rather not rofl! annnnddddd as i NEED to have mountings with reinforced silicone injection (solid mountings too stiff for daily ride, and would rattle my dashboard too much especially after the accident as probably there are some broken clip/joints inside |

QUOTE(dares @ Aug 12 2013, 03:59 PM) Iswara is lower than BLM/FL/FLXÂ wira yes, iswara no. never seen stock iswara's on 13"? fender gap can probably fit in a whole head (if your head is small la if you used my car, my car was lowered to the max on negative 2.7 camber somemore LOL (so my front looks like it's especially lowered where it fact it isn't) =edit= oh ya, and speaking of seating position, the stock seats are WAY higher than the semi bucket seats i'm using now. to the point i made a comment on an old post about how my ICE is better because the tweeter positions are higher now (as my seat is lower) and eh, provided you don't get your ass flung to the windows of your car under extreme cornering This post has been edited by Quazacolt: Aug 12 2013, 04:08 PM |

QUOTE(dares @ Aug 12 2013, 04:11 PM) Kasi masuk r3aper's head eh i'd have thought that the flx would body roll more than the waja lolYea I drove the iswara with stock rims and suspension for many years, after that was the Waja. When I first got the FLX, I was pretty sure it was the tallest sedan I've ever driven rear multi link and all |

QUOTE(dares @ Aug 12 2013, 04:30 PM) Multilink or not got effect bodyroll geh meh overall better suspension setup.Waja suspension quite soft, it's tuned for comfort. FLX mia suspension tuned more for handling, not surprisingly also not very comfortable. granted, this is coming from my overall hatred towards my tofu beam setup http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twist-beam_rear_suspension http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-link_suspension |

QUOTE(dares @ Aug 12 2013, 04:57 PM) I was just saying that bodyroll has little to do with whether a car has torsion beam or multilink that's why i linked the wiki ma, because it did mentioned that it would matter. although for the multi link, you would have additional cost/effort/weight to have an additional sway bar installed (stock or aftermarket) while the torsion beam technically is a big piece of sway bar by itself (which for iswara, works for shit until i got my rear ARB installed)Anyway, saying independent multilink is superior than torsion beam is a generalization, albeit a valid one. A professionally tuned tofu beam setup can still pwn a poorly setup multilink But if your multilink comes with a piece of 50kg metal, all bets are off and yes, it is a generalization as i also realize that there are cars with torsion beam yet provides superior handling over multi links (there was a thread about it and i think you were posting in it too lol) |

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Aug 12 2013, 04:54 PM) Guys, when I make a hard left corner at speeds over 100km/h, my left tyres are the one that screech. I thought the right tyres should be the one screeching with all the weight transferred to the right? it means you're driving a track car at almost 0 weight transfer/roll.on a serious note, it could be uneven braking/locking that occurred? (assuming the sound you heard is indeed the tires and it is coming from left side) |
