Stock and demand situation here.

When did you drop your phone..?
Take out the battery immediately and let the phone totally dry first for a few days. Some ppl chuck the damp phone into rice but I don't know whether that way effective or not.

After few days then only you put back the battery and power it on and see whether the phone still okay or not.

Btw..water damage not covered by warranty. sad.gif

It stated at the warranty card...lolz
Inside the phone there's a water indicator strip where it turn colour when wet.

Anyhow the service centre still can repair any damage but you have to pay for it.

Hope nothing internal damage badly. That's why need to take out the battery immediately after the phone went into water. To avoid any ic short circuit and fried inside.
Anyway..wish you the best bro.

I'm having the gtalk.asyn wakelock as well. Turning off google now doesn't solve the problem. The wakelocks only occurs when you're on data. I'm finding solution too.
*
I think I've read somewhere that a few people have managed to solve this problem by resetting APNs in settings? Since yours is a problem when data is on so maybe that will help? smile.gif

I am using Continous Input (sliding to type) and the phone is unable to save learnt words.

Previously the phone was able to saved all new words and applied them but after restart everything is messed up! It just doesnt seem to save new words anymore in the dictionary.

Under Predictive Text - Personalisation, I did click on Learn from Messaging and Contacts a few times but the phone is not learning. argh!

Any one experience this before? Any solutions?

thud? mind u state what input method did u use?
*
I am using Default Samsung keyboard. That is the only input method i have and it has been grey-ed out. Previously there was another option, I think it was Sywpe but its not shown anymore. Really weird. BTW, i did not purchase or install any other 3rd party keyboards.

thanks!

How to switch off Google Now? I found out the Sync function is the major juice sucker, the thing is when I turn it off, I won't be getting Gmail sync, is there a way to have an option to off everything except email ?
*
Try cancelling all the sync except for email in the Setting->Accounts first. See if it helps.

No OTA updates for rooted phone.
You need to flash it manually.
