Based on FSM reply, they've taken out 5 bond fund due to non-compliant with their latest 0% sales charge...

==========================

Thanks for your enquiry.

Bond Funds at 0% sales charge is the latest initiative of Fundsupermart.com. It allows investors to start earning yield on their full investment from the first day of your investment.

Please be informed that HwangIM set its minimum sale charge for bond fund @ 1.5% and HwangIM won’t allow its bond fund to sell lower than the limit. Therefore, under our latest initiative to lower ALL bond funds sale charge to 0%, we have no choice but to remove those bond fund that won’t able to join our initiative. Please find bond fund list below for the funds that will be disable for purchase permanently.

Please take note that these following funds will BE DISABLED for purchases, switch-in, or transfer-in*:

· Areca Enhanced Income Fund
· Areca Income Trust Fund
· Hwang AUD Income Fund (MYR)
· Hwang Select Bond Fund
· Hwang Select Income Fund

However, sell & switch-out to other funds are still permitted.
I hope its clarifies.

U should raise this point to FSM, Select Income is a MIXED ASSETS FUND, 70% bond 30% equity, why would they treat it as bond fund and charge platform fee? Just leave it as it is at 2% SC doh.gif

Be patient.

If u keep monitoring your portfolio and does knee-jerk reactions every now and then, before u know it u will
(i) run out of ammo rolleyes.gif
(ii) go bananas tongue.gif

- Do regular top ups every month/quarter,
(1) top up to maintain the portfolio structure (e.g. u start with bond 50/50 equity, if bond felt behind to 48/52, u top up bond), or
(2) top up across your portfolio

- Review portfolio performance

- "Lift the laggards/losers" every quarter/year

This is my approach.

I see your posts sometimes I really doh.gif shakehead.gif

oh..thx spider ko..I new here lo..haha..previously in gold...shorted gold when gold dipped to RM 120++ and sold off when reaching RM 140...within 2 months... monitored closely that 1 daily basis..now in unit trust I think cannot use same method d...have to steady....ignore the daily movements...
oh ya regarding cost averaging there is another method called value averaging also right...anyone practice that ah
I have Hwang bond wo but now cannot buy d so how to maintain the same exposure...alternatives?
