Hi everyone, I'm planning to get a Kawasaki Ninja 250r or Naza Blade. Any owners here care to share their thoughts about those two? I'm a beginner.

get a blade 650r, can maintain 210 kmh no problem but need to change monoshock to a better oem one.

i've been using for a year, commuting jb-semenyih every weekend. 28,000km already. Rode in pasir gudang track twice... very good bike for that amount of money

get a used 250cc bike, either a ninja or a blade

you will grow out of it very quickly and will want to upgrade to larger cc

saves you lots of depreciation money for your next bike

anywhow, get a proper B-full license regardless of what bike u choose to buy and ride safely

blade is v-twin. both 250cc and 650cc version

it sounds almost like a ducati, thus many people buy a 650cc and convert it to a "duakati" tongue.gif

there's spare parts where u can even turn the blade650r to a single sided rear swing arm ducati, and most people would be easily fooled

this is a local example of a blade250 converted to duakati. it'd be awesome if it has larger rear wheels and using the 650cc as a convert base

It can go over 230kmh(speedometer) but can't maintain it. This is standard without any modication. That top speed can be reached with still 1000 rpm left to redline. Again the standard mono is the achiles heel. Change it to lets say YSS, and you are good to go.

Maintenance is as a cheap superbike. Just don't expect kapcai price...

Been hoping to buy Er6n ever since I started working, hopefully next year with pay raise I can opt for it.

How does the maintainance wise? Sprocket I heard was at least 160rm while each tyre cost at least 200rm(front/back)

and engine oil maintenance each time is at least 120rm

Any shop for recommend to get er6n with freebies and discount brows.gif thumbup.gif

Looking at 5 years installment with 10% d/p

tyres: front 380 at least, rear 480 at least. if you accelerate fast or spend most of the time over 140-150kmh, you'll gonna have to get a new one in 5-6 months time.

roadtax: 250, insurance: first party all rider around 1.2k I guess.

so by excluding the periodic oil change, theoretically you have to spend close to rm3k per year. oh that does not include the monthly instalment, fuel & makan during riding trip. yes, this is an expensive thing to have.

small tip: make another bank account, put rm200 in there every month. it will help a lot when times come.

shocking.gif sweat.gif

sprocket & chain - about rm 500 - 600

tyres - front & rear will be about rm 800 - 1k

normal service? engine oil only will cost you about rm 100 (2L) + filter (RM40 - 50) and some labour fees

these figures are considered as cheap in the big bike world biggrin.gif

Becareful with er6, versys ckd unit. I've seen one with valve problem. Another versys 650, owned by my close friend (regularly commuting jb- kl together) broke exhaust valve near air keroh malacca. Big hole on the piston. He is not a high revving person... And this is not an isolated case with er6 and versys 650. If you are unlucky.. Huge cost
