for ER6F riders, dont know if it can apply to ER6N
fairing buzz issue http://www.riderforums.com/general-ninja-6...uzz-solved.html I also found another source of buzzing from my bike. My aftermarket LED tailights is loose because the fitting isnt perfect and has big gaps in between the plastic parts. |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Aug 6 2013, 01:48 PM) wut??? Tinted helmet visors may be banned http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2013...met-visors.aspx QUOTE(Fatimus @ Aug 6 2013, 01:54 PM) If they can't even enforce the tinted car regulation properly (I still see cars with very dark tinted windows everywhere), then i doubt they can enforce this. good points my fellow gentlemen.Banning tinted helmets to curb crime be like banning super cars because they may travel fast and cause fatal accidents. |

just for discussion sake,
i fail to understand what the kawasaki Z1000Sx is for. 4 cylinder 1000 cc Lets see, The ZX10R, a full blown 1L class sports bike, aggressive riding position. The Z1000, a 1L street bike, slightly more upright position. Where does the Z1000Sx come in? |

QUOTE(Fatimus @ Aug 20 2013, 08:49 AM) Bought a LS2 helmet (quoted RM360 despite price tag stated RM500).Taking it out to stretch the interior since it is fresh and tight and whatcahmalit, got some people turn around and look at me, maybe cause it is kinda weird for people to ride EX5 while wearing full face helmet screw them!LOL we need people like you to make the paradigm shift happen. In Indonesia and Thailand no one bats an eyelid if you use a full face for underbone bikes. in malaysia people lose their shit! |

QUOTE(stairz @ Aug 20 2013, 11:40 AM) maybe you missed that bit where i just recently edited : demand for some free stuff, helmets, jackets, oil, chain lube,"edit: and no, i didn't take the bike nor did i sign anything.. told the taukeh to give it a hold while i seek advise around" the thing is, the seller didn't inform and be clear to me of the manufactured date for the bike he's providing to me.. dunno if it is out of pure ignorance or wasn't being honest anyone, i reckon, would've further bargained (for better value) knowing that it's made of a different year, (2011 wor) or this doesn't affect much to bikes as it does to cars? i might be wrong.. just trying to get the best value out of things really appreciate the reply btw |

QUOTE(zirconxi @ Aug 20 2013, 03:46 PM) Personally I don't wear full face on kapchai not because of being frown upon or look silly, but because normally riding kapchai is for short distance or slow traffic riding, etc in jam city center. Wearing full face in these situation got my head cook up and kena heat stroke. So kapchai still wear open face with full visor, long distance constant moving will wear fullface. if you're riding 5-10 minutes at low speeds, understandable. |

hey guys,
are we able to do early settlement of bike loans? Lets say, I take a 4 year loan, but decided to sell off the bike after 1 year. Do I just pay the balance or do I need to pay the interest as well? |

QUOTE(RoyBlue @ Aug 21 2013, 11:08 AM) Yes. However, you need to call up the bank and give them a date you wish to end payment for the loan, and they will quote you a specific amount for that date. Settle by then, this would be prorated with interest but also reduced significantly. thanks!! Much appreciated.but please check your loan agreement if there's any penalty for early settlement. |

QUOTE(zirconxi @ Aug 21 2013, 09:55 PM) Yeah...my uncle keep recommending Goretex...But I am afraid of heat...(I am a water kerbau under jacket). Leo vince broI don't mind the performance different of yoshi/akra, as I don't do a lot of top, just want some sound so other driver/rider know I am around instead of knocking into me. The youtube recording sound is so unrealiable and so different than real life sound I can't compare them. I know I can't change the rhythmic "thub thub" sound but just want to make it more bassy and noticeable than current mesin jahit. I like stock exhaust sound after 6k rpm during accerelation. was hoping a change of exhaust can get that sound from 3k rpm onwards.... For filter I think i'll get the K&N as I m using K&N for my car as well, share the recharge kits. |

QUOTE(zirconxi @ Aug 24 2013, 08:53 AM) cant ride it where I work. QUOTE(zirconxi @ Aug 25 2013, 10:45 PM) Let's talk about maintenance, oiling the chain.... Anyone here use engine oil for the chain? My shop just use some used motorcycle oil to oil it. I used gear oil SAE90 last time but it attract too much dirt, then I use fresh engine oil 15W-30 but it fling all over the place especially the rear tyre. But the chain is cleaner. Haven't have a tyre slip on chain oil yet but is worried about it. Now I oil after every ride and the cleaning it up is a mess...I'll mixed some warm soapy water and use a keladi brush to brush the tyre and rim to get rid of the oil. And talking about washing bikes, my ER6 have some weld spot getting rusty (The head tube, the rear shock) Is it me too particular of bike quality is like this? Warranty just ended @ 10K...Guess 10K is just too much for a bike.... no engine oil bro. Use specific chain lube.I normally lube it on Friday night and dont normally ride till Monday. The easiest way to clean the wheels is wipe with diesel first to clean all the gunk. Then wash with shampoo to clean the diesel film. I also notice some rusting but mine is at the front. If you look up to where the Fork brace is (i dont know what you call it, but its the piece that links left and right suspension), there is rusting on the inner side. QUOTE(Fatimus @ Aug 26 2013, 06:57 AM) No signal and I am the whiny one ? Okie. for every biker out there, there is an equal proportion of drivers who do not use signal indicators. You should pray for him to never meet that kind of people on the road, not me. I am scare enough to give the rage type way and avoid as far as possible. Now a bike cannot hurt cars, but the other way round yes. If he's in the fault and you retaliate, you're the enemy here. If you're in the wrong, changing lanes as you like and you touch him, you're the enemy also lor. In cases where the biker is careless, and didnt realize a car was next to him or worse, a lorry, then let fate decide. This post has been edited by junbecks: Aug 26 2013, 10:15 AM |

QUOTE(zirconxi @ Aug 30 2013, 10:54 AM) Some confusion here on Valve clearance check for ER6, book say 42k, foreman say 24k, Friend say don't just check, change all the valves, foreman say, no need change, just check and adjust the shim, which 1 to follow? change valves? wowGo with 24k if you can afford it. Nothing wrong with servicing now at 24k and another at 48k. Check and change the shim. My shop don't want to do, because nothing wrong with my bike. In other words, when problem, then only do? Kinda dangerous don't you think? Geram la with Malay businesses. Give you business but you don't want. |
