Hi all,

I'm a new rider here. Just get my cbr500. I wana know about honda impian shop "EXCEL CYCLE"located at Puchong. Anyone service their bike over there before? mind to share about their service? because they are the nearest shop to my home.

Finally! An actual cbr500 owner. What's your opinion on the bike?

Also, have you done your first service yet?

apparently, it only applies to thai made honda cbr500

people say honda have qc concerns, thus the need to do valve clearance check / inspection after the 1st 1,000km

and it's not free, nor cheap either

i've read some feedback from a few m'sian honda cb500 owners..1st service, bike shop advice no need to do the valve clearance...so they dont check...not sure if this effect the overall performance of the bike on the long run...

it's only inspection,

and honda should have borne the cost of inspection since it's their concern. buyers should not be charged

what if later engine got problem, check service history never do valve check according to manual. who's going to pay for the damage? bike shop can say whatever they want to reduce man hours & reduce costs but if anything happen, they won't be responsible for that because there's no written black & white for what they have said. unless you record a video and keep it as a proof later on.

because in the end, it's the honda engineer that builds the engine, not the shop owner or the so called expert mechanics.

Not yet, done 500KM only. Just get it last weekend, so far the ride is very smooth, easy to handle and the braking system very good for me. I thought it's very heavy but not that heavy. For beginner rider like me is recommended bike biggrin.gif
