The SOD and fake hang issue is confirm bugs in .510 and can be prevent. It is a bugs, not the phone itself problem.

The rooting is piece of cake, just one click root. How difficult is that?
Don't confuse with bootloader unlocked, it is not compulsory.
*
Problem is many typical non phone users just read the surface of the issue and immediately concluded is a big problem... And worse of all start to spread inaccurately their thoughts about the phone. It is quite misleading at times especially to another non user
Rooting is just simply pressing a button and the program will process to root it automatically - where he got the idea is difficult ?? It is the simplest rooting method of all phones I have used by far. Just connect phone directly to PC an run the root program. Phone need not be in recovery or fastboot or download mode whatever !!

Ya, exactly.

The rooting method is the simplest I ever use as well, just one click and done, you not ever need to do anything after that.

OIC. If won't get missed call, then its plenty loud already. I scared I go to shopping mall (very noisy), I can't
hear my phone ringing (although vibration would probably notify me of incoming call).

When full volume it is enough loudness, just cannot compare with others phone loudness.

WeChat output is softer than others app, thus listening WeChat talk is troublesome where you need to put the speaker near the ear to listen clearly.

Others than that, the XZU loudspeaker is ok, not the best but still acceptable.

OIC.I never talk using WeChat before. I didn't know you need to use speakerphone to chat using WeChat.

Some users are giving less than rating "5" for ZXU speaker in comparison to rating "10" in Note 2, which is means the XZU is quite bad sweat.gif

WeChat main feature is that walkie talkie like function.

Don't compare with Note II. Later you vomit. tongue.gif

If Note II is 10 star, then XZU is 7 star for the loudspeaker.

A good loudspeaker not only must loud but strong as well.

About this xzu vs note3 biz....both phones seem to focus on different audiences, so comparisons are not entirely valid.

There are ongoing software issues though on the xzu but the ts has provided clear instructions for workarounds.

Some hardware constraints like the speaker volume are probably due to being waterproof.

As I've said before the xzu is more suited for media consumption and a tablet replacement.

Pocketability is still iffy for most men tongue.gif

the rooting method on the xzu is so damn easy even my 1 year + son can do it. why? just click the bladdy root button on vroot and it automatically roots your device. so if someone say difficult to root then surely they have never rooted this xzu device before.

people give rating base on the criteria they deem important. if i think the loud speaker volume is important, ill rate xzu less than 5/10, but if loud speaker volume not important for me then ill rate xzu possibly higher.

main thing about xzu is the screen period. and the other pluses are the nice design, solid build quality. xzu oozes class.

I think those that rate 5 for XZU is just rating the speaker only. They didn't rate the overall experience. Means, the loudness of Note 2 is double of that XZU.

yeah exactly. if they rate the experience of reading article, web browsing, watching youtube, they'll rate xzu 10 whereas note 2 a 6/10

Hoho sifu are you getting one as well?

Having you and your experience will be a definite plus notworthy.gif thumbup.gif

Actually that shows video play time. A good codec + hardware decode will extend battery life. A browser and call test would give better indication.

I posted something about envelope management in the last 2 days, have to find it again....with it, I expect Note 3 to at least equal Note 2, maybe a little better.

Note 3 will be "released" in Malaysia on Sep 25th, but what does that really mean? Can I buy one then? It was a long time ago but I seem to remember I bought my Note 1 on the day after it was released. I don't buy from telcos as I already have a postpaid account.

Reason I ask is because I went into Samsung shops at Digital Mall on Saturday and KLCC on Sunday and asked when the Note 3 was available for sale and neither really knew - just a vague "next month". And neither shop would take pre-orders. If a Samsung shop doesn't know, seems I am not going to be able to buy one on the 25th.....my plan is a black Note 3 and a black Gear watch.

anyone know what is the number of row x column for Note III? Still the same as Note II? sweat.gif It is the "must-do" stuff for my current Note II - flash the mod to enable 5R x 5C at Homescreen and 6R x 5C at App Drawers. The original Note II layout really wastes quite a lot of screen estate. rclxub.gif

If it is true that the "release" date is 25 Sep, we *should* be able to get it that day. If it is "launch" date then we will have a *release* date later tongue.gif

I got the Note 1 on day 2, and the Note 2 a day earlier tongue.gif

the ET feature sure will help on the Data connection power consumption... but i'm wonder would it really help if u really within the poor signal coverage area where the RFPA will sure need to be boost to max all the time so ET won't activate or wont have big impact on those situation... hmm.gif
