surprise to see the Note 10.1. Looks like got a serious contender for my take on Xperia Tablet Z. The new Note 10.1 has reduced its weight significantly which is the main reason i dun like about the original Note 10.1.
For Note 3, I truely think i will skip it this round. Not much difference to Note II in daily use. Getting a new Note 10.1 will be a better choice for me as I am looking for a 10" form factor tablet for quite a while now. |

I think for Note 10.1, it is leather texture plastic. Actually i prefer this than the real leather coz i dun think leather will last. But nowadays gadgets get obsolete in 1-2 years, so that might be a non-issue.
Btw, between the 2 processors, which one is more powerful? |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Sep 5 2013, 02:35 PM) Very standard usage there is so many S3/S4/Note I/Note II around me and i never seen paint chipping so bad before. Infact, all looks very new even after long usage. Maybe yours are one of the very rare lemon unit. The peel originated from the charging port then slowly more and more place started to peel. In fact, it's not peel, it's fading slowly hmm.... so there are pros and cons for Exynos Octa vs Snapdragon 800. I will give higher priority to battery life than speed. I thought S800 will be much powerful coz most higher end devices announced recently using it. |

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Sep 5 2013, 09:10 PM) A lot of people bought dSLR and never use it (just kept in cabinet). very true. I only bring my DSLR when i on vacation overseas but my Note II is with me every minute. You'll always use your Note 3 LTE phone. So I think Note 3 LTE is more worth it. Note: This is Note 3 thread. |

QUOTE(un_id @ Sep 5 2013, 09:30 PM) I think htc one max will face problem after note 3 launched.. It need to be extra special to fight in this phablet war Samsung goes for the software/apps/usabilities path, while Sony goes for design and killer camera specs. HTC must have at least some killer stuff up in their sleeve, else they will definitely face huge problem especially there are some disgruntled ex-owners (I am one of them) who has blacklisted HTC after they fail to keep their promise. HTC is my first android phone and i love their HTC Sense compared to Samsung Touchwic but their business tactics really disgusting. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Sep 6 2013, 12:42 PM) she is just as skeptical like typical handphone user with "normal" size screen. She thought Note II screen is too big, S3 screen size is good enough (considering she upgraded from HTC Desire). But after using the Note II for few months, she can really feel the benefit of the bigger screen now and also the S-Pen. She uses the S-Pen more often than me. But frankly speaking, i hardly use the S-Pen. |

QUOTE(yoyoan @ Sep 6 2013, 03:31 PM) On the contrary, I was quite turned off by the rumours that the Note III screen size will be further increase to 6" and beyond. From my daily usage of Note I and Note II for the past 2 years, its size is just so great - big but still easily pocketable. I checked out the Xperia Z Ultra last month at a Sony Centre nearby - it is really a beast, a real big beast, really hard to swallow such a big size device into my pant's pocket. You should check it out if you looking for larger than 6" devices. So now I am so tempted by it since the size has been shrink slightly. But another hurdle is cannot buy it bundled with Telco plan coz both my Maxis lines still have unexpired contract - one signed up with S3, another with Note II. A bit wasted to buy it without contract. Sorry, can't help be calculative coz it is my day job. |

QUOTE(Andrew_1980 @ Sep 6 2013, 05:45 PM) You first try will said it huge, but after a long time you used it, you will felt it normal, no more felt huge Not really coz our pant's pocket dun grow in size over time. Note II/III form factor is really just nice - big but manageable. |

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Sep 8 2013, 12:54 PM) Last year , Samsung didnt launch it themselves . It was launched thru telcos ( telco exclusive ) , so any shops who wanna sell have 2 get from telco at rrp of 2299 . Of course they wanna make some profits as well . Even sgs4 faces the same situation . It was only after a month after launching did SME dealers get it and sell at RRP before price drop a few weeks later . So if launch on 01/10 ( example ) , dont expect a cheaper then RRP price until Nov or Dec there will be some exception. I manage to grab 1 Note II from Maxis Reseller without contract at RRP one day earlier than the official launch day by Telcos. QUOTE(emy_xvidia @ Sep 8 2013, 01:32 PM) hopefully there's a 64GB unit at launch. getting tired of the strategy that higher capacity comes later, months later here in Boleh land. yes, really finger cross they will launch the 64GB together or give a specific date (like 1 month after official launch or something). 64GB internal with a 64GB external will be really awesome. The new USB3.0 will make the transfer of large chunk of Flac music a breeze. |
