Baseband and bootloader are independent from the ROM. I'm running CM10.1 with 4.3 bootloader and baseband (.84).

Does it means that the .84 band is better than the .48 ? Can i flash the bootloader and band from pa thread and use cm 10.2 ? How do i go about it

I'm using Fastboot command from Android SDK, so called manual way. The bootloader and baseband are from stock google 4.3 firmware package.

AFAIK all new baseband and bootloader are same no matter what ROM you are using... Only some people using hybrid for LTE

If you update your N4 with OTA update or flash stock 4.3 before, the baseband and fastboot will update too. But if you just flash any other ROM such as CM or PA straight from 4.2.2, you'll need to flash the baseband and fastboot files that are in the PA thread.

actually if u guys use custom rom like xylon, you dont have to use power button at all for waking phone/locking phone

use volume rocker to wake
use navigation ring shortcut to lock

so in my case I already flash cm 10.2 and not the bootloader n radio band. guess I'll have to factory wipe n then flash those 2 1st only then the rom n gapps

Don't have to. Just flash the bootloader and radio from either fastboot or flashable zips in recovery, then you can optionally dirty flash the rom again.

Not really keep pressing it ba.. Daily also use it, the only way to power on is that only only button.. No choice not to press it, don't know how many months I had used it.. But definitely not over 6 months, now already abit loosening, not really good as functioning as the new.

The latest baseband ends with .84 . So if yours end with .48 then u need to flash it. I think the older baseband is not compatible with 4.3 ROMs, maybe thats why you got low signal reception.
