fully stock android, i dun even know how to root my phone

Hmmm i see ... i heard someone saying about whatsapp issue earlier on but nothing about Facebook. Could be apps related or OS corrupted. Low possibility hardware issue i think ....

How about surfing the web using web browsers ? Got any problems loading pages and so on ? or playing online games ? If not then low chances of hardware ...

Tried uninstall whatsapp and Facebook and reinstalling them back ?

Worse come to worse, you might need to restore to factory default and use it for 1 or 2 days without anything install/update.

personally, i think -25 is safe. it's so small.

the right way to do undervalting is to test for its stability after you undervolt it since every chip is different. start small, increase it bit by bit and test for stability again.

don't worry if you chip will burn, undervolting will not cause that. overclock may.

worst case that can happen is your phone crash or cannot boot. in that case, use Custom Recovery to restore your boot.img (the kernel).

custom recovery partition is a separate OS of its own, so, your under volt will not affect it.

dont be afraid to try. (but make sure you have proper backup before you begin)

evert chip has its own potential. manufacturer set the default value for all. it is up to you to discover the true potential of your chip.

oh ya, my way of testing stability including running

1. Antutu stability test
2. Idle test - use the phone for a day or two
3. Use camera and turn on all other devices

if your undervolting survive all these, your chip is capable with the lower voltage.

ps: ahh... i forgot, i undervolt by changing the kernel directly... for most people, it should be even easier, just use your under volt tool and test it. dont make it apply at boot and you are good... i think... never really use those tool.

My Nexus 4's power button is dying...
Now, it's like hell! When I push the power button, there's high chance it'll not respond(more than 50%).

I think I need to RMA(warranty) it soon.
Haiz... no spare phone to use meanwhile. Sad.

I lazy to wait too. And, I don't have any spare phone to use while waiting...

Nexus 4's buttons are lousy. Many users have reported the similar problem.
So, it's not our fault.

I am going to the SC to change the power button and volume down button, which is free of charge, as far as I remember.

Have you guys send in a non stock phone? Would they still honour the warranty? or do you guys flash back to stock ROM first? I am still on CM.

I thought LG used to replace on the spot if they have the parts. You should call before you go and you can probably get it on the spot.

Try to convince them saying that the backlight leak is hurting your eyes biggrin.gif

Actually... that sort of leak is normal on LCD panels. But some managed it very well some very serious. Cheaps one normally more serious biggrin.gif
