Anyone having problems with phone being not as smooth as before after updating to 4.3 ? It is suppose to the the Trim thingy technology right ? which makes the phone faster .... no sure why update update become slower .... hmmmm

i guess people are having problems depending on what apps are on their phone ... when i first updated, seems fine but after using it for a day then it starts to slow down hmmmm or maybe just my expectation that is should be smoother than before

Depending on your network speed but the size is big though. I left it overnight so not sure how big was it. But definitely more than 1 hour for me.

Depending on what do you use your phone for. For basic usage without any fancy functions, get Nexus 4 the best budget phone you can get with that price ! (Specs aren't really budget though )

Lag ? Nearly impossible. Battery 2100mAh, and also depending on your usage and apps installed. My record with stock ROM and stock Kernel, 3G turned on all the time, is 9 hours with 2 hour and 15 min screen on time (SOT) with normal usage like what you have mentioned.


Theoretically, it will and depending on the circuit limiter of the phone. Usually the characteristic of the component as the limiter will not be share to public so can't really answer your question accurately.

Practically, we have people reporting exploding phone and some of them is due to the charger having output current too high, for example using a 2A to charge a phone with input 1A. We also have people complaining about battery life cycle reducing more easily. But do not have any official studies on this so i am not sure what I have said is 100% accurate as well

Nope, there are a few options.
a. Shake to lock and unlock
b. Using the proximity sensor :
i. Wave your hand
ii. Press on proximity sensor
iii. Using flip cover

I used to have it, but it is because of stupid Digi. After changing to Umobile, it is better now. Well if I put in a Maxis sim card, that is even better.

You should try with different providers and see if it is the same issue. That should rule out if it is a provider problem.

Then you can check on the environment and the coverage area. Some electronic stuff could be messing with your signal or maybe all telco do not have coverage in that area

If you managed to rule those out then possible phone issue. Could be the 3G card issue ...

Well better check and have it fixed before warranty expires

You should have online invoice right ? Well according to my experience, the warranty dates usually starts from the invoice date or delivery date and not the date when you receive it. But this is a very grey area and you can always argue with the repair centre if they do not want to do the repair for you. Keep the delivery slip also for future reference.

Wou ... that is a bit too crazy. Could be due to numerous reasons. Try restoring it back to factory default and use it without any other apps for a day and see if the problem still persist. If it does, then you might need to get your ass to the repair center

It is an update on security issue which was due to the Bitcoin "back door" issue.

Any reliable brand will do as long as the current is 1.0A. Don't get 2A charger as it will spoil your battery.

Hmmm i see ... i heard someone saying about whatsapp issue earlier on but nothing about Facebook. Could be apps related or OS corrupted. Low possibility hardware issue i think ....

How about surfing the web using web browsers ? Got any problems loading pages and so on ? or playing online games ? If not then low chances of hardware ...

Tried uninstall whatsapp and Facebook and reinstalling them back ?

Worse come to worse, you might need to restore to factory default and use it for 1 or 2 days without anything install/update.

Umobile user here but no problems with 3g around my area.


Is the signal at your place weak ? if 3G is on and the signal is weak, could be due to that.

For all things worth ... dont get SGP it get scratches easily ... and mine is peeling after 2 weeks of usage ...

A lot of them ... You can those apps to lock and unlock phone with shaking , waving hand ... and so on.

I just got mine fixed in Penag's service center and I must say, they are fast and friendly ! Got mine fixed in 15 mins ...

Though ... i feel sligh laggyness after the fix ... not sure is it my imagination or what hahaha ... going to use it for awhile and see how it goes.

Do agree with that teckyang97 said. In terms of hardward, Nexus 4 does not win it but in terms of software and smoothness of the phone, that will be Nexus.
