I see nothing wrong with #WengerOut gooners. But please la, give some constructive comment or analysis not just rant this and that.

Criticize is one thing. Fking the whole world up side down with the names calling like a loose cannon is another thing.

If AW signs no one in the end, I'm gonna register @ WengerOut booth.
*
Even if Wenger did sign anyone in the end, world class or kampung class, his position should very much be in question already. What happened today was brought upon ourselves, and a result of a horrid transfer window, very much the same case for the last few years. As much an AW fan I am..............

Actually I bias wenger out one lol. But I have toned down in recent times tongue.gif cos last time I used to expect us to be title challengers every season due to our reputation during those times. And seeing the drought made me think it can't be the player's problem alone. Then, I start to care less about us winning epl. Reduce expectation. But it doesn't seems too good for the direction of our club if we have to reduce the expectation. And worse thing is, every season it's always almost the identical thing that happens. I partly blame the way aw come out and talk with confidence and the way he somehow try to give an image of we being a progressing club. He gave the illusion. He have to make it a reality. But years after years it's the same.

But for this season, I started to have confidence in him again cos he seems like going after big players with real quality. It gave me the relieve that he finally sees the problem and tries to sort it out. But till now no signings. But I'm still not gonna rant just yet lol. Cos I don't believe we are not gonna sign anyone being in the situation right now. Just hope we land a few guys that's really good.

Btw, Just have to wait for motd for myself to see what sloppy play we have towards the buildup of the pen.

i see, i started out as a wenger protector and believed in his youth project. when cesc and nasri went out i started having doubts, but still believed. then rvp and song left. that was still okay, but when february came (our usual period of screwing ourselves over) it got frustrated watching arsenal play, totally clueless and backpassing all the time, so i started to want a change. i still like wenger's desire to keep playing the Arsenal Way, but when it's not working at least change something. against teams that pack defence we're always likely to look clueless. always trying to overplay and outpass a team that puts 11 players behind the ball. and when we do make crosses, it got so frustrating seeing poor crosses being put into the box, do we not train crosses at all? of course we do, we're a bpl team, but why the heck are the crosses so bad?

i didnt see this today in the first 15 minutes because aston villa were eager to attack, and left spaces for us to exploit. dont give us space, we will punish. that 15 minutes was totally beautiful, it's how arsenal should play. when villa start to play defensive, once again we look clueless and try to play fancy passes. when it works it looks wonderful, like what giroud and rosicky did today. pity ross didnt score, it was football reminiscent of the invincibles. our crosses were again woeful today, walcott was again invisible, szc was making weird decisions, our defence was left exposed when arteta doesnt play, nothing changed. and we were playing a team who escaped relegation last season. aside from signing players, one thing i'd like us to change is to play direct, esp against ultra defensive teams. get ahead then play as pretty as you like.

Agreed with you to a certain point coz I still have a little faith in AW. Apart from media and blogs' reports, no one really knows what's happening behind the transfer scene. Lowyat Arsenal forum also don't have deep throat in the boardroom. Even now there are rumours saying AW going to make 3rd bid for Suarez. The boss himself also admitted they are working closely for new players. As a manager for Arsenal for the past 17 years, I'm pretty sure he knows our depth is paper thin now.

Losing the 1st game on opening matchday is not the end of the world yet, provided new signings really come in and we still have time to fix things up. I will reserve my judgement till then.

Signing players will help bolster the squad a lot but is that really the reason why we lost today? The match was showing everything that is wrong with our games these days - excessive backward/useless passes, slow on the attack, hesitation outside the penalty box, calling out for referee's decisions when you are supposed to defend (See 3rd goal conceded) and GK making rash decisions. We also lose our composure too easily, I understand that they're frustrated by referee's decisions and opponents' play but you should have known that emotional influences will bring you nowhere.

We are trying too hard to play Barca-like tika-taka style but our wasteful/pointless passing is such a joke to watch. It won't help even if we have all the world class players in the world - when we had RvP, he was creating goals out of thin air for us rather than us creating good chances and playing well, to tell the truth. I can't help but to think that the root of all the problems we have is Wenger, sad but true.

I normally avoid this thread a good 6 hours into the game, since its just filled with rants and typical haters one liner. Past the game, none can give any good analysis over the game nor weaknesses in our team.
It was a horrendous match, etched by some very questionable reffereing. Its only our first match and already we received the first red card in the game, throngs of injuries and to add salt to wound, most of the other top teams are winning with style. Hell, even Liverpool scrap a decent win.

As you guys said it before, its really useless venting out the frustrations because no BOD nor the manager read our comments. Still, its a public forum and you can't expect decency on all posts.

Let's just move on and see what the next step the BoD should take in lieu of the embarrassing loss.

Zelalem + Gnabry then we are done biggrin.gif

Anyway, the red card i feel it's becoming a little too typical for Koscielny. After the red card, he comes back super strong and achieving the state of immortality allowing him to achieve Bosscielny again.

Sagna can do it. Gibbs should be back by next match, just some cuts which is pretty normal in football days. Jenkinson can be our RB.

What concern me is our midfield players, all of em so under-performed today. Well Rosicky has his misses, but still far better than Ramsey and Wilshere.

From end of last season till now,

What AW has done right:
1. Get rid of deadwood (well, except the best striker ever lived)
2. (Still) Keeping first team players from leaving
3. Fielded a strong side against AV.

What AW hasn't done right:
1. Did not buy early (or at all) when we are told that we have a huge transfer fund.
2. Did not sub in Podolski earlier when we were 1-1 and when were chasing the game.

I'm still in "In Arsene, we trust" camp. It's simply because that when things are heading South, what the team needs the most is our support. We should not turn our back onto them when they need us the most!

Well, that's a general thought and does not mean that one should not analyze and discuss/debate what's happening, such how things work (good or bad) on previous match.

All in all, although not many are willing to admit it (it's very obvious btw), I must admit that we are no longer title challengers. Not even if Suarez is joining us (I do not rate Suarez so high that he alone will change our chance becoming title challengers). It is very unfortunate that I'm putting Arsenal with the likes Spurs, Liverpool, Everton, etc that are challenging for the next year's last UCL spot.... and with how things are going on, we are not the leading pack even among these teams.

Yes, my expectation has been set to the lowest compared to my other years of supporting Arsenal. That's mainly because everyone else is improving by investing into their teams, I do not see the same level of urgency or commitment from Arsenal.

As one has mentioned it, only real gooner understands how a gooner feels. I need not elaborate further. I just hope you guys can continue keeping the faith that things will be fine very soon.... whether you are #wengerout camp or "in Arsene, we trust" camp, the club comes first! smile.gif
