Even the players are hoping for a star signing. Unfortunately, mr Wenger doesn't think so. Haiz....here we go again.

Didier Drogba: Don't judge Arsenal just on Galatasary defeat

QUOTE
Galatasary striker Didier Drogba does not believe Arsenal should be judged on one game despite his late double sealing a 2-1 win over the Gunners.

The Ivorian forward holds a fearsome goalscoring record against Arsene Wenger's side and his two goal salvo off the bench in the Emirates Cup now makes it 15 strikes in 14 games versus the Gunners.
But despite a difficult summer for Arsenal the Chelsea legend says Arsenal will still do well.
He said: "They are a good team every season. They have good players and a good team every season. It's difficult, you can't judge them because it's only one game. It's very difficult.
"The guys who started did the hard work. To come on in the second half, I won't say it was easy but they did everything, they got them tired and so we could create more chances."

SOSEJ

Drogba will forever be Arsenal's kryptonite, but he does so with class and quality. I always respected this guy. notworthy.gif

I can take jibes against our club if it were a fact, but a sugar daddy club is not Arsenal.

Me too.
He used to kill prominent personalities in the past with his goals.
Now, its just plain goalfest.

Arsenal trialist Sebastian Perez v Manchester City [Individual Highlights]

user posted image

QUOTE
Having spent the last week on trial at Arsenal, Colombian midfielder Sebastian Perez made the bench for Arsenal’s pre-season friendly win over Manchester City on Saturday.

Perez has reportedly impressed Arsene Wenger and will likely be offered a contract at Arsenal in the coming days, according to reports.

The 20-year-old Atletico Nacional midfielder could well be brought in as cover for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal fans on Twitter seemed enthused by his crisp passing, tough tackle on Jesus Navas and facial similarity to Robert Pires.

Arsenal’s central midfield at the end of their 3-1 win over Manchester City consisted of Perez and Gedion Zelalem – this could well be the long term future at the Emirates.

I don't hate Liverpool as much as I hate the british media. They're really demonising our club for our formal bid of Suarez. Seriously in which part did our bid went classless? Business is business and I'm pretty sure John Henry is actually contemplating on the profit side of selling off Suarez, its just that along the way, they decide to gain sympathy from fans and the whole British island for them having to part ways with their main striker.

Is not like Arsenal is stealing from them. Or is 40million pound is considered a spare change for them? I kinda agree with tkh_1001 about his theory that Liverpool is actually trying to attract other clubs to enter the deal and make some lucrative deal from him since they're obviously drooling over the whole Bale and Cavani transfer sagas. Unfortunately, the market isn't in their favor, so they're playing the sympathy ticket so as to give Arsenal a hard time of getting a bargain from Suarez.

The media and their fans are probably too diluted to see this. No offense on the club, seriously I have the utmost respect towards Liverpool and their rich history, but the new owners are just a d*ck for trying to play this issue on Suarez alone. And the media is alwas so generous in singling him out on the cause of Liverpool's hardship when in fact Liverpool has a bigger problem to tackle. Lets face it, Liverpool right now is exactly how Arsenal was back when we moved from Highbury to the Emirates stadium. They're in a transition...change of owner, change of manager....and their team now consisting of new, young players. Barely the quality desirable to win the league, let alone getting into the top four.

Even if Suarez slips from Arsenal's hands, its not a big loss for us. At worst, there's still the possible chance of getting him again in the next transfer market....but that's all up to our results we could produce in the future.

Reading the article pieces written by the media is pretty obvious that they've gor nothing nice to say about Arsenal. Its either A, or B....its always AFC bringing the worst in the league. F*rk them all.

what happened with wenger's 'recent' striker signings? it seems all would flop or doesn't integrate well with his tactic... chamakh, black messi..

Chamakh was decent actually. He provided the different angle because he was such a good player in the air when most of our crosses never found anyone back then. He had good ball possession and gave defenders a hard time off the ball. But he was just the temporary replacement when RVP was nursing his injuries. Once the Judas return, Chamakh had lesser play time, and a striker only can improve when he is playing...not when he is warming the bench. to me, he is still a decent player, but unfortunately our Arsenal play doesn't suit his style anymore. I wish him all the best at Crystal Palace.

Feigning injury so to start the season opener  cool2.gif just like red-nosed Fergie did during his reign, smart but play dirty. Looks like Wenger is serious about the "this season is ours."

Probably to avoid getting called for international duties.

I just realized Crystal Palace is playing in BPL this season. Kinda glad knowing Chamakh is still plying his trade in the same league as us. Hoping to see him improve himself, but not against us. And its managed by none other than Ian Holloway.... its so entertaining listening to his funny words.

another familiar old club is also promoted...Hull city. Not sure if they were the same as the old Hull....remembered they knocked a few top clubs in their first debut in BPL. Those crazy rugby tackles.....scary stuff.

Cardiff City...haha! Vincent Tan really made a great turnaround for this club. Might as well change it to Berjaya City and the fans doesn't even mind. It is after all his money that turned their club into a competitive one. So I suppose QPR fans can jump ship already this new season. rclxms.gif

Promoted teams are always unpredictable. I think Crystal Palace is definitely one we need to watch out for. Ian Holloway is always a big fan of Barcelona and having the same play as Arsenal in the past. Of course we did made it 6-0 to his old club Blackpool, so I'm sure he won't forget that anytime soon.

Despite not landing any sizeable signings this season, there's a reason why us Arsenal fans aren't pulling our hairs so much looking at the situation.

QUOTE(vassilius @ Aug 15 2013, 12:08 AM)
get over it dude... this whole transfer saga shit were staged by AW and the other 2 farking clowns on the board...

we could have gotten Higuan but of course, AW won't want that... sensing that RM would sell at around 35million, he immediately switch target to an almost impossible to get player, Luis Suarez... for 35million... and later 40million + 1 farking pound... doh.gif

AW is an intelligent guy... probably the most intelligent+cheapskate stingy manager around... surely Liverpool won't let LS go to another EPL teams, an even if it does, for wat price? the sky price?

this whole shit were staged to answer the growing criticism from the fans since everyone were angry by end of last season for not buying any world class players to replace those who left... who won't? Emirates Stadium has one of the world most expensive tickets and fans are paying premium price to watch pedo maniac AW and his team week in week out...

AW got no intention or even care to get LS in... man, like he farking care... now AW and the other 2 farking clown can tell the fans around the world that Arsenal can spend, but clubs do not want to sell, not our problem guys!!

the original targets were already set since the beginning, and now AW will move forward with his plan, which is to secure a few more kiddo into the team and voila... shopping spree done...

at the end of the day, did Arsenal really tried hard enough to get some world class players? NO... AW has been pretty much selamba through out the whole transfer windows... he had his target set, but certainly not those who made the headlines..... some unknown African kids are more like it...

I'll take your post seriously once the transfer market closes.

The transfer market is getting interesting again.
Seriously though, some fans really need to calm their tits down.
Its not the end of the world should we got nothing in this market and its definitely not 7th heaven if we do get these hot prospects. I have my confidence on our current squad right now seeing how they look cimfortable among themselves.

Look at how our squads are split into these three groups:

veterans: rosicky, podolski, arteta, santi cazorla, vermaelan

middle: Diaby, sagna, koschielny, giroud

young guns: walcott, wilshere, AOC, Scezneny, jenkinson, gibbs

So finally we break away from the typical mindset that Arsenal are filled with kids. We have a great order of seniority which will contribute to a healthy club attitude.

Should any new players come in, they would easily gel into our squad with ease.
