Any retail store near you? if can do try them out or at least have a feel before buying
Otherwise
RIVAL=Very large hand and perfect for palm grip ONLY
kana v2= suitable for medium to large hand and good for all type of grips
DPI doesnt matter, for single monitor, 3000dpi is more than enough
Both have little to no acceleration and mouse correction
*
sadly no retail shop near my place
so the major different is only the shape and position of hand.
alrite then i think i would go for kana v2. thank alot for ur answer

non eq is the best
dont you feel eq'ing the sound cause some sound to be artificial?
if u insist on eq'ing you could try lowering the bass since the v2 is quite a bassy headphone

Hi guys, i just recently got myself a Steelseries Sensei MLG edition.

Somehow, I'm having difficulties on launching the SteelEngines 2.8 with Windows 8.1.

It show the error message 'Initialization of SteelSeries Engine failed. Please reinstall Engine and try again'. I tried to reinstall for multiple times but still get the same error.

Anyone face the same issue before?

1. Get the regular siberia v2 is enough, unless you go cyber cafe often then get the 7.1. The 7.1 soundcard doesnt make much improvement and the surround sound engine isnt as discreet as the 2nd generation soundcard (namely 9H and Elite soundcard)
2. If you love logitech then the rival is a much better choice since its an ergonomic right hand design
3. All qck are the same, just choose which size fits you nicely. Most people will find those ''limited edition'' design to be just right

the mousewheel.. when scrolling it feels 'not ok'. certain parts smooth, certain parts rough, like maybe the wheel is misaligned vertically by 0.02mm and certain part of it is scrapping against the sides when scrolling.

and there's no option in the software to increase scrolling rate. :/
and u cannot modify the default config for 'dota'. have to create a new profile for dota. :/

other than that the mouse is great!

Update: went to change the mouse and the wheel feels better now, although if i nitpick, can still feel a bit of 'roughness' at a certain point when slowly scrolling the wheel 1 full revolution. I guess its a construction issue?

it feels ok to me
maybe you got a defective unit
default config cant be bind with any program, and one profile can be bind to one program
scrolling rate can be changed with the default windows mouse software
where did you purchase it?

when scrolling, it feels cheap. and the sound it makes, doesnt evoke a solid construction, compared to a kana i tested at the shop (to show the guy the difference and where the first wheel was 'spoilt').
Even my old ps/2 logitech, diamondback and mx500 mice has a nicer mousewheel scroll feeling. Just that for the price I paid, I was not expecting this kind of wheel scroll.
Other than that I'm liking the rival.
Bought at Impulse.
