i dont really know if it answer ur question,
by using lightroom i will bump the shadow lil bit in Tone Curve and change shadow color to brownish in Split Toning
here the example:

after:

note the shadows area colour...
it isnt exact settings with the ur example in the link...but you can play with split toning

Settings by Calvin Kohlz, on Flickr

i just adjusted the Curves of RGB..kill the shadows..
then increased green's hue a little, decrease saturation n luminousity of green a little..
No split toning done..

VSCO presets i found(those that are free) sucks a lot..each photo each lighting really needs different twitching. so in the end, i tried it without those presets still in vain..

^ Yep and the clouds are at minimal too
If it's during the night then it's almost the same procedure as taking star trail or milky way shots,

Have to find suitable location where light pollution is minimal and the sky is not over packed with clouds, set up your tripod, set for long exposure and just shoot.

Humble haha  tongue.gif
I don't have wide angle lens... the most I could do is take a panoramic shot, and by doing that I won't be able to cover as much skies/rocks  sad.gif
*
Looks like a wide angle? haha..it's 17mm only..stitched! n i now noe how slow i m in taking photos..need to rush when in tour. ><

QUOTE(Calvin Seak @ Aug 15 2013, 07:07 PM)
Nice where was this shot from?? It's spring now right?! biggrin.gif
*
from Mrs Macquarie's Chair..a park.. it's end of winter i think..transition to spring..melbourne more fun though..more things to experience in melbourne..not bad for photos..different scenery.

i think...what u will get is depending on how much u willing to pay,,., whistling.gif

yeah..bt practically if both cameras dslr n mirrorless has same sensor size, u wont need to worry too much about it's Image Quality..
bt ease of use n functionality wise different thing..dslr more buttons more shotcuts..
