quick question here, one of the astro maintenance guy told my dad that it is recommended not to switch off the astro decoder for some reasons.
i'm using a pvr latest decoder.
i'm just curious, any reason for not switching off the decoder at all? even at night?
Reason is you can get it updated when its idle and you can record your midnight show. Please, just dont switch off your electrical appliances like decoder or router. Thats not going to cause the electric bill sky high. Only air cond will

So that it can do auto update when needed. You should be able to turn it of overnight, but do not turn it off for extended period, like a week or months.
Why would you even want to turn it off overnight when the decoder has recordings to do.

guys wana ask .... am gonna shift to a new place and soon to get a new telephone line and was wondering bout astro's broadband service.. is it good and fast at kajang area as compared to unifi? and wats the different between astro hd, demand and iptov? thanks in advance for the feedback
I rather Unifi+Byond PVR over iPTV for the low ping of UniFi. Astro HD:Normal Assteruk Baeyong HD with no recording service. VOD: a service available for PVR and IPTV customers that you can catch up missed shows or download movies that you have to pay for provided you have Wifi conected to your pvr decoder if you use normal Pvr service

just got the new interface updated on my pace pvr...
surprisingly after the update... all those ghost recording can be deleted...

Ok good news for us pvr users then! And itts phantom recording haha, not ghost recording lol
UPDATE: if you have tried force updating and see the number on the top right corner stands for hardware revision number or model. Not the firmware code that it is updating to, my bad
So far the codes i know
BL2V-V1.38-Pace Decoder
BL2V-20A-Samsung Decoder
