My astro byond superpack 3 is giving me problems since saturday 21 Dec.

I am getting signal strength of 160-170 and signal quality of 100. Some of the SD channels is either giving me service unavailable or jittering broadcast. All my HD channels are OK.

Example of the problematic channels :

810 - No service
811 - OK
812 - No service
813 - No service
814 - No service
815 - OK
816 - Bad reception
817 - OK
818 - No Service

Same goes for the chinese, cartoon, variety channels.

Already called Astro customer service and as usual they are hopeless.

Call them now and tell them you cannot watch any channels at all since yesterday. Request a technician to be sent to your house tomorrow and if not please waive the fees for the days that you have no service.
With that signal you shouldn't have any problem for PVR decoder of course. Normal decoder signal level should be 200+

I'm using normal decoder, but all the while my signal level is around 150-170 and there is no problem watching all the channels.

What made me confused is that why my HD channels are all OK? if it is a signal issue, supposedly my SD channel shouldn't giving any problem and HD should be not OK. But now it is the other way round which doesn't make sense....

Sharing some pixs since no activity on this thread for the past few days......saw a promo promoting FX HD as a movie channel. Maybe a change of direction in 2014. Also caught the promo promoting the News Year's Day Blockbuster on FOX Action Movies. Cheers.

Oh yes, free 1 month of viewing of all chs except BPL. For those whose broadband was affected, free speed upgrade to the next tier for 3 months , e.g. 200Mbps fibre will be upgraded to 300Mbps for free. Not too bad. :-)

KEMAMAN: Kementerian Komunikasi dan Multimedia dijangka melaksanakan siaran percubaan televisyen digitalnya di kawasan Pantai Timur bermula pertengahan tahun depan.

Menterinya, Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, berkata langkah itu bagi memudahkan pihaknya meneliti kualiti perkhidmatan memandangkan kepadatan penduduk di kawasan terbabit masih rendah.

"Kita mulakan di kawasan pantai timur dahulu dan beberapa kawasan di utara sebelum ke kawasan berkepadatan tinggi," katanya kepada pemberita selepas menyampaikan dividen projek ternakan ayam pedaging di bawah Program Azam Tani, di sini, hari ini.

Menurutnya, projek pembangunan infrastruktur televisyen digital dengan kos kira-kira RM1 bilion itu dijangka siap sepenuhnya pada 2017 sebelum kerajaan menghentikan terus perkhidmatan analog pada 2020.

Sementara itu, Ahmad Shabery berkata kementeriannya berazam untuk meningkatkan lagi mutu dan liputan perkhidmatan telekomunikasi di seluruh negara pada tahun depan agar dapat bergerak seiring dengan perkembangan semasa.

"Keutamaan bukan sahaja dari segi liputan tetapi juga kelajuan," katanya.

i heard MP will release one of the channel into HD first quarter next year, hopefully its not exclusive right to any broadcasting company.
