That's a very details explanation you got there. My office Maxis totally cannot online. Maybe I want to try all 4 to see which one suits my needs.

I used DiGi, Maxis, UMobile.
Home: Yes, No, Yes.
Work: No, Yes, Yes.

So I pick Umobile. laugh.gif

They can support iphone LTE long time ago,,,,

Not true. I used to be a Umobile subscriber and their LTE could not support iphone (only 3g network for iphone even though they have launch LTE that time) thats why I swirch to Maxis.

If iphone can connect to umobile LTE now I might consider to switch back.

2 of my colleagues have already use umobile LTE when they bought iPhone 6+ on may 2014 and Aug 2014...
hence, I can confirm that um network is supported.

Another colleague of mine is also using umobile network is also using iphoNe....

And also, my fren who working with umobile also confirm this...

haha, of coz limited coverage is the main issue umobile always having.... no matter 3g or 4g...

What I wanna explained here is that iPhone can use umobile LTE even before iPhone gives the contract to um for selling it smile.gif

just to clear the confusion, iPhone 5 and below either don't support 4g LTE or it doesn't supports the band that umobile uses(2600mhz).
Source: https://www.u.com.my/taxonomy/term/102 + http://www.gsmarena.com/apple_iphone_5-4910.php

For iPhone 5S, based on this link by lowyat: http://www.lowyat.net/2013/12/we-have-no-a...phone-and-ipad/ , it seems that the iphone that is brought in by Apple doesn't supports band 2600 as well(some other variants do but it seems like it is not the case for the variant that is sold here).

While iPhone 6 has out of the box support for all bands for its 4g spectrum so it is not an issue laugh.gif

Hope that clears the confusion that is going on nod.gif

read my reply above to understand how did they come up with their point. So, if I am guessing it right, you should be using iPhone 5, backed up with some info based on your threads), so I would say that you still can't use UMobile for 4g LTE as it doesn't supports bands like 700 or 2100mhz that iPhone 5 supports.

Yes you're right. That was during iphone 5 time. thumbup.gif

If that's the case my iPhone 6 shouldn't be a problem but the lte coverage for umobile is pretty less. Pj and kl area not supported?

beside Subang and sunway puchong users

I think better not to think of enjoying 4g LTE service from umobile, thank god if your area is having steady 3g like my area (jinjang, a place that is poor for P1,digi,celcom maxis especially taman beringin)
no expectation then no disappoinments tongue.gif

do u get notice from umobile that although top up no addtional charge, but once to subscribe any mobile internet plan, the plan price need to add 6% gst? e.g. UMI30 = RM30 + 6% = RM31.80 (need that credit amount to subscribe)

actually too many different stories

i list out some

A. buy top up RM 10 need to pay RM 10.6, all telco ready to print out the coupon with RM 10.60, but yet to print
B. top up 10 , pay RM 10, but get 9.4 after reload
C. Call rate, Packages all increase 6%, gst covered by telcos

as i know A & B not every telco following, now turn to plan C, probably the final decision but still no black and white confirmation yet
cry.gif but all 3 types also affect my pricing

Hi, would like to ask about the free 50MB internet roaming.
I'm a umobile prepaid user, and it says when top up RM50 can automatically get the free 50MB internet roaming daily and valid for 30 days (start counting from the top up date).

I have top up yesterday, until now I did not receive any confirmation SMS, have checked via *118# under menu freebies, still nothing about this free internet roaming.

How to be sure that I am really entitled for it?
