U Mobile Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s most dynamic and innovative telco, concludes the year’s end with success in achieving its Vision 2 Million - a campaign aimed to achieve two million new U Mobile customers by the end of 2014, earlier than expected.
In an earlier celebration of this triumph which was targeted to be on 1 January 2015, U Mobile is now offering its customers the privilege to enjoy FREE-ON-NET CALLS and FREE MOBILE INTERNET for one day on 18 December 2014.
Celebrating Two Million New Customers
The Vision 2 Million campaign started on 17 September 2014 with the key objective of achieving two million new customers by 31 December 2014. However, U Mobile has managed to achieve the target earlier due to U Mobile’s aggressive marketing tactics, innovative product services, promotions as well as value-added services that ensure its growing customer base receives the best-in-class mobile experience.
In light of the celebration, Mr Jogeswar Rao A/L J. Subramaniam, the 2,000,000th subscriber which marks the success of the Vision 2 Million was awarded with one year free prepaid UMI subscription as a symbol of appreciation from the U Mobile team much to his pleasant surprise. The 2,000,000th subscriber target was officially reached on 12 December 2014.
Commenting on the significance of reaching the Vision 2 Million goal ahead of schedule, Jasmine Lee, Chief Marketing Officer of U Mobile Sdn Bhd said, “We are incredibly proud of the accomplishment in getting 2,000,000 new customers to join U Mobile prior to reaching our deadline. We recognize that this is not an easy feat and we credit this success to our hard work, our lineup of value-added services, and the support from our expanding subscriber base as we believe that this is reflective of the trust that consumers have in our high quality products and services”
“U Mobile would like to thank all our customers who have supported us throughout the years and assure that more positive enhancements to products and services will be on the way as we continue to provide the best mobile experience. As a token of appreciation, we hope that our customers will enjoy the one day free on-net calls and free mobile internet we have made available for them. Moving ahead, we look to conquer even greater heights as we raise the bar even higher in the upcoming year,” she added.
Contributions to the Success of Vision 2 Million
U Mobile’s aggressive marketing campaign, coupled with its innovative product services, promotions and value-added services are key contributing factors to the achievement of Vision 2 Million. Amongst the series of promotions which contributed to the success is U Mobile being the first to provide free Internet roaming for its prepaid and postpaid consumers in 9 travel destinations across the Asia Pacific region, making the most expensive service now available to consumer even as they travel overseas.
