I want to ask if any of you know that those people that publish and selling particular game guide/book (no matter in physical form or electronic form) do they need to inform particular game publisher/developer?

If not inform them then come out a guide/book for particular game, will it become any problem that related to license/copyright? (let say talk about the game sure will using the character name/ the picture/ the animation and video)

Do people needed to paid for the developer/game publisher?

If you gonna sell any sort of merchandise, you have to inform the developers even if its just some fan made tshirts. Not every developers needs you to pay them to use their work but if its guide book, i think you have to pay them in some way like a license to publish the book or give them a cut.
