How about make it like "share market"
buyer set the price they want to buy while seller set the price they want to sell. when match, it will proceed. Then we can easily see how many quantity willing to be bough on particular price or sell at particular price. But too bad this card can't up and down as much like some "hot share" If can, someone will buy all the particular card then later jack it up. |

QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Jul 24 2013, 12:53 PM) For me, my rule is: How do you look on warmachine in kickstarter?- The master rule, it just depends on whether i want the game now or not. If i want to play it now, i'll probably buy it like GRID 2 while the developers has to gain enough confidence from me via marketing. While COH2, it felt a bit of a step back from CoH1 and I dont exactly need a RTS that time, so its a sale game. Didnt bought Dust: An Elysian Tail too, cause i dont really need it at the moment, as im stuck in Pandora. - Indie games, if the game developers is unknown with a genre that i never really enjoyed, wait till sales then. However, if the game is made trusted and proven developer such as Super Giant CDPR or Iron Clad, day 1 purchase. Then, if the indie game has an extensive beta, not demo "beta", like Divinity Dragon Commander, then the game can be considered to be bought day 1 as it has been quite fun to be honest while the devs cared about their game a lot. Seems like there is some nice genre mixing too. - Major publishers wise. If its EA or Activison, avoid it if possible as they only cared about money. Blizzard might be given exception if the upcoming product fixes whats wrong with the vanilla games, like Hearts of the Swarm. Highly doubt the trainwreck called Diablo 3 can be salvaged. If its publishers like Stardock, Sega, Ubisoft, Deep Silver or Square Enix, depending on my interest to specific games, might pre-order or wait for sales. The Crew is a definite preorder as it looks like TDU with customisation, provided no always online but Watch Dogs, I'll wait for price error or sales. Lastly, 2K games and Bethesda, since their Dishonored, Skyrim, XCOM and Bioshock Infinite, i consider them as trusted publisher as they do care about making good games as mentioned in a few articles in the media despite its mostly PR talk, not just for money alone. Might preorder their upcoming games like the invitable XCOM game(not The Bureau) or next single player Elder Scrolls. If not, just buy their games on a sale, like Brave New Worlds as i dont play much Civ 5. - Kickstarter games, if the idea is something i really missed while the developer has the skills or shipped products, like Planetary Annihilation, Limit Theory and Project CARS, i'll back it right away. Also applies to developers who actually have an actual playable (broken) alpha available despite the game looks fun. If the developer is from someone that i never heard before, like Big Robot of Sir You're Being Hunted, Battle Worlds and Satellite Reign, I might back it with the lowest tier available as to me, its a message to developers that i want their idea to be made. If its nonsense like Heavy Gear (F2P mech game with also a story based campaign making a kickstarter campaign) or Project Godus (Peter "Overpromised and Overhyped man" Molynex), hell no and i'll GFTO. This developer ok? |

Actually this is like investing into company or project.
Sometime success, you get the reward with cheaper price or better benefit compare to those outsider. Sometime fail and it had to shut down. There is always a risk in supporting kickstarter(same like running a business, investing) Nothing is guaranteed. |

No choice, nowadays those AAA title that come out by those publisher are very bad. All try to use dlc to keep sucking money.
1 game with US60 still not enough, then come out stupid dlc to grab money. Some just cosmetic is ok cos not affecting the gameplay but some it add up something and if it is multiplayer, you can't play if you not continue to buy those dlc cos most of ppl will move to those server that support those dlc. In the end, 1 game become almost US80-100. Then suddenly they announce same title with "2" on it. It almost same as previous except add a few feature which suppose they can update into game 1 but now they come out 2 and then later another dlc series to make it US80-100 again. Then the cycle continue. Those publisher mostly are brain death people which never come out new gameplay/new concept/new fun factor in the game. Mostly will copy same formula from other success title and keep duplicate in new skin/new engine only. While those indie most of time they are the one keep come out new idea on game, although they can't come out a good graphic game but most of the time, their game are better gameplay and more fun compare to those AAA. Those famous and popular game some are from community idea such as counter strike and dota. None of them are from big publisher. They only busy in drm, dlc, restrict the fun factor then if you want those thing, you have to paid it as dlc. I think in future, they will come out single player game as US60. Then later come out dlc add feature for multiplayer then add dlc for detail record/state. |

So far I only pledge into 2 games. That is battle of kronos and hex mmo. Both of them so far so good.
Later I mostly will pledge into warmachine. Then I hope that I can stop pledging for certain period until these 3 out. (But mostly will hard to resist if see the good concept coming out) |

Any opinion on these 2 kickstarter?
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/196697...rs-and-battles/ http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/116887...e-you-build-th/ I feel that organic panic not bad. While wars and battles although is turn base, but they put the pledge reward is like 1 battle per level of pledge and then another add more for another platform to play it. If you only play with PC then it is ok, but if you want to go in pc and smartphone, you have to pledge more. |

QUOTE(ChcGamer @ Jul 31 2013, 11:23 AM) I donated for Hex TCG 50USD 2 days ago and only charged me around RM167 Oh, if you come early in kickstarter, you can have different level of donation to choose.Paypal rates still low right? A lot of ppl choose those US250 and US500. Most of that finish grab by people. |

Now valve can easily differentiate who is big customer.
Maybe next time when you contact support, they can put priority on those level 100++ first. That economist that hired by them really worth. Now valve earn even more than last time. In future, the market sure will allow people buy and sell gift, key, item then also allow cash out with fee. It will become 1 of the big game/software exchange/trade platform in the world. |

Why Dead Island GOTY suppose include Dead Island Bloodbath Arena DLC but just now after I activate the key, I found out in steam, it still show that I can purchase that dlc rather than "play" it as other dlc for dead island.

QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Aug 1 2013, 02:33 PM) Dont know, could be a sequel, a board game, a mobile game or a dreaded facebook game. Recently a lot of people focusing back to turn base game due to smartphone market. However, probably an expansion or sequel as PAX East 2012 did teased a XCOM related content. Me too. Loved that game and utterly love what has this game done to the industry as it revived turn based strategy back. |

I want to ask if any of you know that those people that publish and selling particular game guide/book (no matter in physical form or electronic form) do they need to inform particular game publisher/developer?
If not inform them then come out a guide/book for particular game, will it become any problem that related to license/copyright? (let say talk about the game sure will using the character name/ the picture/ the animation and video) Do people needed to paid for the developer/game publisher? |
