Bros, I am somewhat lean last year, after I move places, change job and a break up with gf, I started binge eating and stop exercising...now I am from 75kg increase to 90 in half a year...of pure fats I guess since I didn't work out. Lots of salty stuff I ate.
So now I am not happy with my body, I get over my past relationship, starting courting girls and wanna start working out and revive my sixpacks again.
Question is, what happen to my muscles from the hard training last years? Are they still there or they convert to fats Liao? If I just focus on weight loss instead of mass building will I still have the same old body or skinnier?
Another question is, I don't want to spend money on whey protein anymore, since I am somewhat broke liao, but I have unlimited supply of eggs since I am running a poultry farm. Does it work too?

Muscle can't be 'converted' to fats lol... However, they do degrade. This called muscle atrophy. Unused muscles are atrophied and of course as you eat a lot, will be replaced with fat.
If you are to focus on weight loss and getting leaner, I'd say you'll probably have a little less muslce mass than you used to have. Muscle atrophy for normal people is very slow, it would take years to occur unless if you have a severe malnutrition problem.
Supplements are supplements. That means it's not a necessity. Take whole foods instead. Eggs are excellent choice, especially you'll have no problem with supplies. Eggs are the best. I love eggs.
BTW, seeing as you could increase your mass from 70kg to 95kg, I see you have absolutely no problem eating like a beast. Continue eating like a beast, and also train like a beast

Is your poultry farm in Kundasang?
I'm looking for an egg source in Kuala Lumpur, from pasture-fed chicken in raised in a biodynamic farm.

So I think I just made my muscles happy again today...the feeling of sore is back...I think its a way they are saying thank you LOL.
I am not doing much first, have to regain muscle memory and doing some intervals to regain long lost stamina.

Try aerobic exercise e.g. jogging, power walk, cycling or swimming. Aerobic exercise is the best way to burn off fats in your body.
Your muscles are still there, just need to be toned again. But they are covered by fats now. So burn the fats first before toning them again.
By the way, good body shape you had there. Don't give up!

No it's not the best, and it's not the healthiest either. It's about the intensity.

Sigh. Seriously if you must know, muscle atrophy truly occurs within 3 weeks of inactivity. If you lose strength within the 1-3 weeks provided your diet is in order, most of that loss is neural.

If you used the word toning for muscle, generally your advice gonna be way not suitable and appropriate for bodybuilders. It may be suitable for people who do squat with pink dumbbells on bosu balls thou.

QUOTE(ah_suknat @ Jul 22 2013, 06:15 PM) then why some body builder have months of "off" period? If 'off' period means deloading, then it is meant as a period of time for the body to rest after weeks/months of hard training. The bodybuilders normally still workout, but not with as heavy weights/reps as usual. The difference between deloading and stopping completely is in the former your muscles are still being worked, but not tolled to the usual extent.

QUOTE(ah_suknat @ Jul 22 2013, 06:15 PM) then why some body builder have months of "off" period? Off as in off season? Off season doesn't mean that they are becoming couch potatoes. They still train like usual but they'll have more leeway in their diet. More or less like a vacation from their competitive dieting for show/competition.
